I dreamed I was giving a speech about people who succeeded in life despite the odds. It was really kind of a strange speech.

I had a dream where meteors fell to earth, but turns out one of them contained a message from the FUTURE! Also I visited my old house, got stung by a wasp and was chased by a haunted car.

I dreamed of strolling over a few unremarkable landscapes (in the dream; I don’t think they’d be so unremarkable to me in real life) with someone. I don’t know why we were together, but we were supposed to be. He wasn’t exceedingly friendly; in fact, he was certain I needed to be kept at bay, and, unlike me, knew exactly how to do it. His behavior was consistent with the same determined and unquestionably righteous way he’d always treated me, which I’d have never been able to pull off myself.

This time, he had some strange preëmptive device in his teeth for self-defence. It seemed to be able to sprout some metal rods out of nowhere (don’t even ask me how they could come out of his body without piercing his cheeks or forcing him to open his mouth, which I think he didn’t have to), which struck his foe’s teeth, breaking them if necessary, and could inflict great pain. Even with those rods nowhere in sight, the device’s mere presence seemed to create a force field which strongly repelled my own teeth, causing me a significant discomfort as I had to walk beside him. Early on in our trip, he softly and tersely warned me not to give him a reason to break my teeth. I don’t remember much else.

The dream was pretty clearly inspired at least by three sources:
• The short film Sintel, with the protagonist travelling alone through many wildly different, sparsely populated places in search of her estranged pet dragon, and the line “Come be my shadow, walk at my side” in the song (“I Move On”) played at the end, with the credits.
• This video I watched shortly before falling asleep: The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon by Richard Gale.
• The fact that I hadn’t brushed my teeth.

I dreamt I was with somebody I don't know in waking life, we were car-shopping for him, and together we examined a well-used 1988 ford t-bird, flat white exterior, blue interior with black trim, bare stock wheels and regular profile tires. it was fairly high-miles and had seen lotsa driving over rough roads, but the seller cleaned it up as best he could, it was souped-up with a small-block chevy V8 and the engine compartment looked empty in comparison to the stock unit, all the emissions controls and such were removed, leaving just the engine and ancillaries. he got in and hotwired it, and took it for a joyride, last I saw in the dream was him screaming up a steep hill, where it stalled after about half-way up, then I awoke...

It was not a dream but I woke up today with my neck turned around 180 degrees. It hurt like hell for a while afterwards when I realized what had happened. I don’t know what made me do it. Now I guess I Am going to have sleep apnea.

I dreamt I was at some kind of family reunion, there were so many people the banquet table in the front yard was a block long, and no sooner than I sat down at the white-tableclothed table to eat, I hadda do a #1 and #2 urgently, so I got up and went to the restroom, and as soon as I opened the restroom door I found myself in the backyard walking over a stony [lots of little gray stones] walkway and getting harassed by loudly buzzing bees all around me, at which point I awoke.

Dreamt that someone told me that he didn't have guest passes to the YMCA

A couple of weeks ago, he saw me on the street and invited me to the YMCA and I went

Used to love weight training when I was 14 to 21 or so. Now no gym access. Expensive. It seems superficial and meaningless anyways

I dreamed two nights ago of hearing a black dog yelp, i turned around to see it lying on the road. I went up to it and held it's paw and comforted it and it looked at me with big brown eyes. I remember feeling the sadness as it slipped away. The night after, i dreamed of finding a secret passage to some shops that were only available to the very few and weren't known to everyone as the main town look practically deserted.

^^^Dog
To see a dog in your dream symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. The dream dog may also represent someone in your life who exhibits these qualities. Alternatively, to see a dog in your dream indicates a skill that you may have ignored or forgotten. To see a sick or dying dog in your dream symbolizes a neglected friendship. If the dog is dead or dying, then it means a loss of a good friend or a deterioration of your instincts. Also consider common notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty ("man's best friend") and to be "treated like a dog". To run over [or see such happening] a dog in your dream means that you are expressing doubt in the intentions of a friend. Perhaps you feel betrayed. Your friend is not being supportive.
Black Dog
To see a black colored dog in your dream symbolizes the shadow aspect of a friend. The dark side of someone close to you is being revealed and you are able to see through to their true intentions.

Hmmmm…

If the two dreams are linked somehow-then it might symbolize that some part of you is dying, but at the same time some new part of you is opening up.

Thank you so much for explaining to me about what the dying dog means and what it symbolizes, same goes for the dog coat colour. I thought about how it correlates to my life and i was let down by someone a month ago now and i'd guess it's still sort of playing on my mind a bit. I'm getting over the pain and hurt they've caused but missed them none the less.

@Natural plastic.

Never thought of that? could be linked.

hiya :) I don't do interpretation per se, but I do a quasi-interpretation "by the numbers" using the dream dictionary at dreammoods.com. it is a useful online tool, I have found, over the years. I've also posted over a thousand of my dreams there as well as here.
Do you do any dream interpretation? i'd like to hear your work on my dream if you would do so. :)

I dreamt a mélange of things, mainly centering around my late folks, and their medical travails, combined with my army and civil service experience from a while ago. I was riding around in my late father's wonderful old Mercedes 300D, it rode like a bank vault on wheels, and he was tearing around the streets like he'd never do in real life, as he treated it like the cream puff it was while alive. we did lotsa sharp turns and jackrabbit starts [something a diesel NEVER would do in real life] and diving stops, quickly stopping at a gas station and then jumping in and out of other places. then we ended up at a veteran's hospital where dad was supposed to have a medical appointment, only thing was the nurse took off early for the afternoon and we went there for nothing, when I found out I cussed out loud in a scatological manner [!], and then the next thing I knew I was resting outside on a hammock in the shade at some property I hadn't seen since I was a kid, and the nurse from the VA showed up and asked me why I was so upset, and I told her I don't like having my and my family's time wasted, and she sorta apologized and told me she had a family obligation to take care of, and I said words to the effect of "oh, ok then." then she took me to the local army fort hospital, where I stripped out of my street clothing, walked naked through the halls until they gave me a hospital gown to wear, then I found myself back at my old army post duty station, but in the present day [3 decades after I was stationed there in waking life], my pony tail was exceptionally bushy and I tried to stuff it under my hospital bouffant cap, wondering when they were gonna tell me to shave it all off, only the section sergeant just asked me why I got back in the army and made other small talk, then I awoke. :o
