Showers for me be like.

Woke up to:

a willow on my pillow
a bear in the shower
sixteen paws circling
like vultures deranged
gourmet gizzards
and turkey hearts, minced
a cupful of salmon and
nine duck duck goose
one lazy sloth
much to my relief
visions of baby batman
needing a tour guide
and a place to call home
a rat, or something like that
and the patter of
eight tiny reindeer
from memories long ago

Our grocery store is practically bare.
And they've started employing homeless people.
Which is nice.
Except for the long, dirty fingernails on the guy last night.
Weirdly, first time I've ever been thanked for buying groceries.

I agree with all those, but I'm actually afraid of self-checkout. I always screw up because I can't see or I can't understand the instructions quickly enough, and I end up having to push the button and wait for someone to come help.

Red sirens and bells ring.

It's even more terrifying because it draws attention to me.

It took me a while to do self-checkout well.

I doubt I'll figure them out. They're all different and I can't see well enough to read the screen at that distance. Plus I hate touching all the buttons that other people used. I never know where to set everything because there's never enough room, and bending down to my basket repeatedly makes me dizzy (stroke). Then I get flustered because of the people waiting behind me. I feel badly that a lot of cashiers are losing their jobs, too.

It's so much easier to buy stuff online. Problem solved.

The other day, i was waiting by the till, not technically in line, but parallel, after 3 people were served, i noticed another 2 people waiting, so i decided i waited long enough, and just budged in while guy was staring at this phone. Nonchalantly. My paranoid part of my brain, almost expected him to punch me in the back of the head. Sometimes i do things like that.

How can you derail a pointless thread?
