Until we meet again I'll be curled up trying to avoid the subarctic draft through my window - it's strong enough to stir my hair and the bedding from metres away, and make my bones ache with pain. I've warmed the bed with three hot water bottles and my hair blower but it's teeth-chatteringly cold in here. There's also a draft through my closet which has a portal into the rafters of my uninsulated garage - not quite as charming as finding Narnia through a wardrobe, but there are three cats and a dog willing to keep me warm.

This might be an "add more duvets" type of night.

I have electric heat pads set up for the cats across the room from the freezing cold window area.

It's about -10C with windchill. Too bad I can't sleep in socks.

Fight the good fight, and we'll report in à demain.

Yes it works, but it's almost impossible to get the heat up three levels to the bedrooms, and all of my windows are crap (single pane, not air tight, with leaks and gaps in the frames). I've only needed new windows for about ten years. So maybe by 2032 I can think about getting some. I keep boxes and blankets stacked against that attic door to keep the draft out of my closet, but my clothes are always frozen nonetheless by morning.
