I'll Be Your Mirror - Velvet Underground

Mirrorball - Taylor Swift

Mirror in the Bathroom - English Beat

Do you know any songs or movies about Manchester?

(Murihiku): There are lots of relatively recent horror films centring around mirrors, but I don't remember the titles (though at least one may have been called Mirror, Mirror, not v original, huh? But the one I really recall quite vividly is a 1940s film called Dead Of Night, which I first saw in the late 1960s, and which features a really memorable segment which revolves around a mirror. As far as songs go, look no further than Dollar's Mirror Mirror or The Human League's Mirror Man, both from 1982.

(Isabella): Hell Is A City is a 1960 Hammer film set in the Manchester area. Not one of their horror films, more a police/crime drama.

Do you have a lot of faith in politicians these days?

I've never had faith in any politician.

Would anyone be likely to read your Memoirs?

No. Absolutely no one.

What are the things that you like about where you live? Can be about the country, state, city, suburb, neighborhood or anything.

^ My city's pretty lively and popular with tourists, but with a sunny, laidback, beach lifestyle for residents. It's a decent sized city without being too large, plus the state capital is only an hour's drive away if needed.

@DeepHour: Have you seen the British thriller TV series Black Mirror? Properly creeped me out, it did.

Same question.

By American standards I'm pretty safe as an unusual person here. There is just about anything I'd want within driving distance but it's still rural enough that it doesn't seem crowded. I've been here so long I know my way around and where to find the important stuff. I'm on the edge of a couple social circles, so I could occasionally participate in group gatherings if I wanted to. There are trees and green spaces. There is diversity here.

That is, it's familiar.

I wish I could get places on foot or bike. I live within easy walking distance of nothing at all. To catch a bus I have to drive a bit and park. I almost never do that. Parking downtown costs money. There are no trains. It gets cold in winter and hot in summer. There are more affordable places to live. There are also less affordable places.

Twilight Zone. Haven't seen the other program.

If a viable colony is established on Mars, would you like to live there (and why or why not)?

No because IMO, it would take a long time for me to get used to living alone.

Same question.

No because all the movies about living on Mars is proof that it doesn't work out well.

If someone gave you the deed to a habitable island, would you live on it or sell it?

I would first try living on it and think about what to do with it.

How many mobile phone numbers do you have?

If you were going to have a baby would you choose a home birth or a hospital birth?
