I'm face blind AND I have Aphantasia, meaning I can't even picture the memories they might mention.

I've been known to tuck and roll when I see people -- like literally hiding in clothing racks or sitting behind displays.

Honestly - yup. It's a combo of flight and freeze mode. Stark terror. It's one of the reasons I have Agoraphobia.

When I was a kid there was this really tall tree - taller than my 3 story house - it was a big old cedar in the front yard.
When I got up to the upper branches no-one could see me.
(But I could see them).
