My daughter has a friend who always wears socks that do not match on purpose. In school when there was a school uniform which was checked she still wore socks that didn't match - they had color sticking on the toes - that didn't match.

These socks do not match. Or do they?

My daughter likes to paint. She likes to paint with acrylic on canvas. She painted her canvas Converse Hightops - base on Van Gogh's The Starry Night. She did other acrylic canvas Converse Hightops for some of here friends - each tailored to the individual. She also went to school on Halloween one year as The Starry Night - one of her friends went as Van Gogh.
Now whenever I see Starry Night on ANYTHING I usually get it for her - she always likes it.

In the novel "The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World" the hero has a friend named Ana Sofia who has two passions - socks and Thor (who she has a huge crush on). She even has a day dream where she and Thor go on a date - and buy socks - Thor gets a big sock and puts it his head like a beanie - then they go bicycling and she admires Thor (in the day dream) as he rides along on his bicycle with his handsome sock-cap waving in the wind. Several times Ana Sofia muses to herself that socks are like "hugs for the feet". In the final scene of the novel (which is very filmic to the point of appearing to be an extension of the MCU) Squirrel Girl and Ana Sofia meet the Avengers. Squirrel Girl finds her friend happily talking to Thor who is saying in a Booming Voice "Yes! Socks are indeed like hugs for the feet!".

One of my kids brought home the book from the library and I picked it up to read a few pages - I found it very amusing and ended up finishing it in a few days. Now I can never see Thor in an MCU movie without imagining him saying "Socks are indeed like hugs for the feet!".

Britney was very hot as a schoolgirl...I must admit...I remember that, it was smash hit, outta nowhere that year. Just change the word "hit" to another monosyllable , of more common usage , for a more accurate representation of Brits feelings...I like to change song lyrics in my head...
