That's always been a favorite of mine too. It's kind of like a cult classic video. The parts with Joel sitting in the chair watching the screen was taken from a movie called The Parallax View.

Well, I have theory.
E.g. Eyebrow raises.
Leaning in.
Body language. Open or closed.
Facial tics. Smiling.
I don't know how much I process in real time.
Takes concentration.

I like to think Id see the signs. And I think I do.
But I've also been told, somebody was checking me out, and i was totally oblivious.
But a woman could be like this with me:

Her: i love your hands...let me hold them..let me read your palms..
Me: why
Her: will you do a breast exam on me, i think i found somehting ?
Me: i'm not a trained doctor
Her: There's this thing in my bedroom i want you to see
ME: it's late, maybe i should be going...
Her: oh its so hot, let me take off my top...and my pants...
Me: do you have a fever? if you're ill, l can come another time....

Imagine 2hours later..
getting nowhere

Me: where have you gone?
Her: I'm in the shower, naked, but i'm stuck, can you come help me?
Me: I'll call fireman...

I appreciate directness. :shrug:

Cut to the chase. Why can't woman be more direct? If you feel something...Just tell a person how you feel...Men don't judge women like that...

I've seen Parallax View. (1974) Supposedly based on a CIA program. Trained killers. Involved in JFK, RFK assassinations. One of those Hollywood , reveals the truth , type of movies. Yeah, It's just 'fiction'....But there are parallels.

i think i'd belatedly catch on at the breast exam part and offer her a gyno and GI exam as well

Well, I just watched Fight club. The other day.
Marla (the love interest) invites Ed Norton over to her aprtment...for a breast exam. lol. But at this stage in the movie, Ed doesnt know hes' split personality...he dislikes Marla. Quickly leaves. Meanwhile his Alter ego Brad Pitt ( Tyler Durden) is all over her...

Later Brad (Tyler) breaks the news to him....He (brad) is an hallucination...

This leads to some serious complications, as Marla doesnt know whhich personality she's dealing with.

I really love this movie...I first saw it 20 years...I remember my grandma was like, "thats the weirdest thing ive ever saw, i understand nothing...Ive never seen a movie so baffling" etc lol

It as an happy ending though...kinda...After beating himself up, and shooting himself in the mouth, he reconciles with a kidnapped Marla, they then romantically watch a terrorist attack, while heartwarmingly holding hands.
