Imagine what would happen if someone got into an accident with one of those things. They look cool, but I wouldn't want to be driving one and have to share the road with people who have "normal"-sized vehicles.

it would have to be the law that certain roads would have only those one-passenger deals on them. no mixing of vehicle types.

I've been wanting to find a Rainbow Brite or Murky Dismal doll from the 80's in good condition fo a long time. I found a doll of Lurky at Value Village a while back. I don't have credit so I can't go buy one off of Ebay or whatever and I can never find them at the thrift shops or flea market. Maybe I'll customize a modern plastic doll to look like Rainbow Brite. Maybe one of those "American Girl" type dolls (I don't think they sell those dolls around here but I've seen similar ones under different names. Maybe I'll make Patty O' Green too because I like her tomboyish, mischievous personality, but I don't know if I can give her green hair. Maybe I can dye a blonde doll's hair green?

They had a few small plastic Rainbow Brite dolls out a few years back but I didn't care for them. I don't think most people did.

My local supermarket have gone and done it again with those same coffee filters that are the only ones my machine fits. They've pulled them. For the second time.

Back to Amazon for twice the price.....

When I was a kid there was this ice cream treat I would sometimes get in the summer called Buried Treasure. It was a vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet mixed on a plastic stick and tasted really good, like an orange creamsicle. But the best part was that the stick had a plastic character on the end that would be revealed after the treat was eaten, hence the name. I used to have a collection of Buried Treasure stick puppet characters, some of which I got from friends or my cousins. The last time I remember eating one of these was maybe the 90's but the orange sherbet and ice cream was blended instead of slightly mixed, and not nearly as good.

I also miss those little figures of Disney Characters that could hang onto the rims of bowls and glasses that was given away in cereal boxes when I was really young. It was fun to have them sitting on the edge of your cereal bowl and watching you eat. I remember there being Mickey Mouse, Pinocchio, and Winnie the Pooh. When I was a teenager a short-lived cereal called Mickey's Magic Crunch came out, and there was supposed to be one of these toys in the box, but I couldn't find it and I almost went crazy! My mom only bought the cereal once.

the Acoustic Research MGC-1 "magic" speaker. almost no other speaker was both sonically neutral yet "disappeared" aurally when listening to music. IOW you could close your eyes and not be able to tell where the music was coming from, they did not sound "boxy" in that respect, and no matter where you stood in the room this illusion was maintained with none of the usual collapse of the stereo image into the nearest speaker.

This one is fudging the thread criteria a bit, as this item is still available -- just not at my usual supermarket. I swear, they keep pulling products that are actually good ones, and I now have to go shopping at other stores to get all the things that were my favorites.

Now it's Heinz mayonnaise. My Tesco superstore (a big store with plenty of space for plenty of different product lines) used to stock this, and after trying every other brand they had, this one is the best tasting one in my opinion. Having just "discovered" it and that I like it the best, within a couple of weeks they decided to pull it, in favor of giving more shelf space to their crappy own-brand that tastes like lard.

Yet another, smaller Tesco within our same area still has it. I've tried asking the bigger branch to bring it back, but they no longer have "suggestion cards" like they used to. This large branch has pulled at least a dozen items I liked over the last few years and I'm so frustrated. I now have to do my shopping in two opposite directions instead of getting everything at the one store.

First world problems, but that's the thread to begin with, so, rant over!

*Compression control, also a 2-band design, for background listening, making car cassettes, and easier taping of CDs.
*Ambience control, for adding and subtracting difference information in the midrange and treble, increasing or decreasing the spaciousness of the sound.

those 3 circuits could, judiciously tweaked, make a world of difference in older audio recordings. you can't even find parts for these beauties anymore. drat. I have one that needs service.

The Canadian 7% ABV formulation for Smirnoff Ice. Somehow, the new 5% formulation tastes MORE alcoholic, and not as refreshing.

Also, Inferno Doritos. Truth be told, I think they were only on the market for a short time, but I freaking LOVED them. I guess they were just too spicy for most people.
