yeah..there is some messed up physics with that even though they are some of the best examples going.

So, not only is space curved and gravity affects many things, but the gravitational waves actually increase and decrease the size of things. Everything is in flux, basically.

Basically it's something else that stretches and compresses space time. All things are relative to the given area you inhabit, its gravitational strength and the speed you travel.
