Agreed...but I hope it can also do the equivalent of surgery, even better if it is Star Trek style surgery: blinky lights and weird electronic noises but no blood or screaming

While in a job in the 1970s I used to rant about the need for "Star Trek" doors in the building so people could get between rooms easier while carrying stuff. After a decade or two it happened - automatic doors.

Other things that should exist:
1. Shops that sell ordinary things without any advertising or frills.
2. An ombudsman to intervene whenever somebody pointed out something that was unfair or cruel.
3. Cheap, simple, reliable cars.

Public blackout bunkers you can step into to avoid the fray - complete with dark lighting, soundproof walls, a soft spot to rest, and fresh water on tap. Think of them as portals or dens.

I'll expand on this & say a way to get legit meds for dirt cheap while also bypassing the hassle of seeing a doc & dealing with the bureaucracy of insurance. Like my insurance won't cover an insanely expensive med & my doc refuses to prescribe a cheaper alternative that's covered because the doc is worried about potential side-effects. Then he suggests the expensive med that's not covered & costs about 5x what I get in Social Security Disability :x :wall: I'll gladly try his med idea if he gives me free samples or forces my insurance to cover it :tired:

A reality TV show where corrupt U.S. politicians are forced to eat bugs for a whole month to atone for their corruption.

An eye mod or implant that makes every one from birth immune to any eyesight alterations due to distorted eye lenses or (too narrow/too wide) eyeball shapes, like the common causes of nearsightedness.

Cars that won't start until you prove you're not drunk and lock your phone in the glove compartment.

Cars that use GPS to know what the speed limit is and can't go faster than that.
