It was more the fact that they couldn't find anyone willing to look after 46+ rabbits, but yeah, pretty much.

Speaking of "bunny ranches", check out this web site. An older women had been tending to abandoned rabbits. As she got older she couldn't keep up and the bunny population went ballistic in her back yard.

I think thats's sort of what they had, bunnies romping in the garden, but yeah, I know what you mean.
