hate the start of it all-decorations going up etc,but then am just about used to it when people start to take them down.
like the fake trees that look like they've got frost on them, dad never bought one of them because he only buys the cheapest crappiest ones from wilkinsons or tj hughes.
get the cats the best presents can afford, last year it was a load of stuff from selfridges [crap selection of cat things, they had more dog things],and also special christmas dinner [think it had turkey and cranberry in] and dessert [mousse type stuff] cat food from marks and spencers-very recommended to other WPers for cats' presents, the cats here are fussy with what they eat but they ate that.
sister got the youngest family cats a piece of string each for christmas presents last year.

I love hot chocolate! I reccomend Options hot chocolate(few additives but very chocolatey and you can still have it if you run out of milk and you can't be bothered to venture out through the wet and damp to a supermarket for another one, perfect for kids who are tired of drinking dark hot chocolate ALL the time) :)

Didn't get many ornaments done. We were all too tired :)

Mmmm...I actually prefer white hot chocolate from Second Cup (not sure of you know what that is, but YUMMY!), that would definitely be worth a trip to Canada

EVERYBODY will be getting video games, there is not a child in the UK who won't want to get a video game for christmas. Or a football kit.

I've already bought myself a video game for Christmas. It's for the Nintendo DS. Can anybody guess what one it is?

Sid :O)

Never get this one (as I am not a "gamer"), but the first thought that came to mind was Brain age and Sim City? Do I win the prize?

As for me:
ahhhh....we are busy trying to find a flight to England for Christmas. We foolishly bought tickets for our 9 year old to see Highschool musical on ice for x-mas day, thinking that we would have to accommodate the foster baby's family during that time and would have to put off a trip until after x-mas, but noooooowww..... he won't be allowed to leave the country with us (some strange rule that the biological parents have the right to make those decisions about his care, even though they are not fit enough to care for his every day needs...*sigh*

So this also means we are free to do as we please over the holidays for 2 weeks while they find an alternate arrangement (family care) for this baby and the only thing that is holding us back is the small fortune we spent on these tickets!! !! *sigh*

What to do, what to do....

High School musical on ice look's pretty good, It's unbelivable what disney have achieved from just one movie.

i didn't take the tree down from last year; it's still up , the first white plastic one ever had,( green, real or not, would NOT go with the colour scheme here when moved in, and as i have only whited out the ghastliest purple and orange elements, is now panels of washy turquoise and medit pink) with silver tinsel and little wooden red figures and berries and icicles and red and silver ribbons, and straw stars and pictures drawn and cut out by son, aswell as the silver bits around the walls, little twiny siver metal things and mini chocolate father christmases still wrapped in their turquoise blues and red. And cards i stuck on walls rather than send! And small silver balls on ribbon .
Bought some more of the little wooden figures last week when they they appeared at Lidl, to create mini scenes of action around the place with my son.
I just fell in love with xmas decorations, for shine and sparkle.
The computer still has blue tinsel surround and two odd wire structures with pearly beads threaded on here and there, that look like models of molecules, on top of it.
We'll prob get at least two of Legos Mars Mission vehicule sets for my son. I want David Lynch' "INLAND EMPIRE", and maybe some Stargate, and a watch.
We'll probably eat plates and plates of big wild prawns.
But we've already eaten all of the 20 chocolate covered marzipan bars we bought at Lidl 10 days ago!!And i'm on my third bag of pistachios aswell.
Not sure what xmas is about. But i love the decorating.
 8) :D

We don't put our decorations up until early December. Every year they put my Christmas pudding ornament which I made in first school, about 18 years ago.

I hope I get a PS3 this year, with HL2: Orange Box and Oblivion.
