I'm not sure what effect my avatar has on my posting style or behavior. The Fred Flintstone was picked by default from what was available at wrong planet because this is the first forum I ever posted on. When I got tired of having a default avatar I went looking for Cate Blanchett as Galadriel or James Woods as Max Renn from Videodrome (by coincidence Debbie Harry also had a part), but could not find anything satisfactory. While doing that search I found my Deborah Harry avatar which I like a lot, she remains one of my favorite singers after 30 years of listening to her. :D

Deborah Harry and Blondie rock!

I thought about starting a seperate thread but decided to ask here instead, what does mine make people think about. I don't mean my looks I mean what does it make you think of first, happy? sad? mad? stern? stubborn? Or whatever it makes you think not necessarily about me just thoughts in general.

The way you stare off to the side makes me think you are an android.

I have trouble not identifying the avatar with the actual person. If I ever meet any of you and you don't look exactly like your avatar, I'm going to be crestfallen or bemused the same way you would be seeing your favorite radio personality for the first time - you'd built up this idea of what they looked like from their voice, and you're completely wrong and it's a letdown somehow.

Oh, and I'll have one soon if that desktop tactic works.

Yeah..me too sorta....maybe not crestfallen...but suprised....My avatar is deceptive. It is me...but it is me when I was 19 or 20...and I am 32 now...so there is a decided difference...also it has been altered signifigantly...especially since it is a photograph of a photo copy of a photobooth photo...which sorta signifies the way that i tend to artisticly do things....I have this thing about taking images and degrading them
I have kept it for a long time...I am not sure why I like it....i just think it is sorta weird that it is actually me....and i was in a very serious and ritual-driven phase of my life at the time it was taken....maybe it is because it just seems sorta AS-ish...to me....

So which of the two people in my avatar would you expect me to look like?
