Back in 2001 I got another tattoo and although the stencil put on me looked a little crooked I asked the artist about it, and he washed it off and reapplied it. It still looked a bit crooked, but I thought he knew what he was doing, and so I got it tattooed that way. And when I got home, it looked crooked. With the OCD that accompanies my Asperger's, it bothered me having it crooked. So that was dumb---I should have asked to have it reapplied again until it satisfied me.
It was a symmetrical tribal piece on my sternum with wavy lines extending off each side.
A few months later I had another artist rework it by adding to it by bringing the design down my stomach. It helped a little bit. But it still looked crooked.
Finally, this past December, I found a wonderful artist who said he could fix it. He did. I love it now. He extended the design further and made the old part look good. It is now quite massive in size, but I am very happy with it.
