i have heard parrots speak. but i have only heard them speak english. i wonder whether they can learn greek or hebrew or some other language.
even though i have heard parrots speak, i have never had a meaningful conversation with one. they are prone to interruption, and they do not seem to consider what i say when they respond to my questions.
i once was talking to a parrot about lithium batteries, and it got excited and screeched and squawked, but it never actually said anything that facilitated the conversation. maybe it was just pretending to be excited when in reality it had no interest.
there are no books in my local library about how to effectively converse with parrots.
i asked another parrot once what it wanted to talk about and it did not say anything. it just looked at me as if i was a fool.
i told it that i would be interested in anything it had to say, but it remained silent.
i do not like looking at humans eyes because humans seem to go haywire when they see me looking at their eyes, but i can look at the eyes of animals. the problem with parrots is that i can only look at one of their eyes at a time because their other eye is on the other side of their head and not pointed at me. i wonder whether what they are looking at with their other eye is more important to them than what they see with their eye that is pointed at me. when i look in the direction of where their other eye is pointed, i never see anything of interest.
what a confusing world.
