Has anyone ever seen the anime Excel Saga? I friend of mine introduced me to it yesterday and I have to say, it's freakin insane! Extremely hyper doesn't even begin to describe the main character.

Is a die cap, where a coin sticks to either/both of the dies, then strikes the next coin(or several)?

Yes, a die cap is a coin/blank that has stuck to a die,
coins made by this die cap are know as
coins with brockage - until the metal
wear out and the image disappears,
then its more of a struck-through error.
If a brockage coin is struck on top of
a new planchet or allready struck coin,
its called counter-brockage,
and it gets worse

^That is awesome. But I'm still scratching my head wondering where the aluminum planchet would've came from? Are those little tokens the come in some proof sets made of aluminum? That would be my only guess, because to my knowledge we never struck any aluminum coins.
