But I'm still scratching my head wondering where the aluminum planchet would've came from? 
Are those little tokens the come in some proof sets made of aluminum? That would be my only guess, because to my knowledge we never struck any aluminum coins. 
I dont know the exact story behind that coin..
But i know here i live there are several coin
types that there where made only 5-20 pieces
of, and they are in different types of metal,
test coins to test out ideas. Some of them are
made of aluminum and were made in the 1970`s.
Never intended for circulation but a few pieces
have slipped out of the mint.
Some times planchets just happen to end up
in the wrong container, but it seems unlikey
when theres no aluminum coin production
anywhere in US history, i think
If this is a planchet ment for a token as you
describe, then this error coin will have the
same meizurments as those tokens, but i
dont know what those are

I did a little reading and found that some experimental aluminum Lincoln Cents were struck in 1973. The regular copper planchets weigh 3.11 grams, so the aluminum ones would weigh somewhere about 2 grams. If that particular Ike Dollar was dated from 1973, I think we may have found the culprit.

How weird is this:
Earlier today i was driving down a road looking
for number 39. I dont find it, but theres a house
on the spot where 39 should be, that house has
the number 13 above the door.
So i go in and ask "Is this by any chance number 39?"
And it was! Anyone care to explain that one?

26 of them fled into the nearby forest, maybe. Or.... 26 were lost at a poker game.
Or 39 is the unluckiest number and they decided 13 would be better.

they said "yes it is"
i said "ok...it says 13 over the door...?"
and then they said: "yes, we know, its a problem"
