I appreciate the sunny days even more on rainy days.

i heard on a radio program the other day, a report that claimed that traveling on a jet airliner was a million times safer than traveling in a car.

excuse me?!? jet liners are stuck in the past compared to cars!! jet liners have no rear view mirrors!! ! good morning ?!?!? .

jet liners have no blinkers (turn indicators) either, and coupled with the lack of rear view mirrors, it is a worrisome situation. what if a 747 swerves in front of a concord in an adjacent lane without being able to put his blinker on, how would the concord know?

has anyone noticed that jetliners have not yet been installed with air bags? (i need not elaborate on the futility of that)

i think the most important piece of equipment that is not yet installed in jetliners is a "horn".
i do not know what americans call a "horn". maybe they call it a hooter or a honker or whatever.

if planes had horns they could blow, then how many mid air collisions would have been avoided?

it is amusing to me to envisage a captain of a plane resorting to pressing the horn in a response to an inevitably fatal intersection.

I don't feel that there's anything confusing about me. What you see is what you get, plain and simple.

I want to live somewhere for more than two to three years and really feel settled down. 8)

I can relate. I went from Kansas to Minnesota back to Kansas to Nevada to Texas to three different towns in Oklahoma and back to Kansas. And that's not even counting the multiple places I've lived in Kansas before moving somewhere else.

i once bet myself $1000 that a situation was going to turn out a particular way and unfortunately it did not, so i had to fork out $1000 for that ill considered forecast.

anyway, i do not understand why all cars have only 1 reverse gear. their reverse gear ratios are approximately the same as their first (forward) gear ratios. i have often speculated that one day i will have a 40,000 acre property, and the driveway would be 10 km in length and be lined with meticulously groomed hedges. if i had no turn around space, then i would have to reverse 10 km back to get to back on the road. with only one reverse gear, that can take a very long time. if they fully developed reverse transmission ideals, then there could be drag races in reverse.
