I washed my hair.
I feel shaky and teary and sick in the stomach.

It's occurred to me that no one else in the world feels the same.
I would have thought someone on WP would have similar problems.
But they're talking about hairdressers and combing and straightening.
It doesn't really bother anyone the way it bothers me.

I need a good stiff drink before washing.

If it's not a problem for anyone else, it's not a real problem.

Thank you, AP.
That cheered me up.

I thought I saw another thread recently where someone also had trouble with this too.

My sensory issues with my hair/head are a bit different (though I can understand why brushing/washing/touching your head would cause nausea), but I do avoid hairdressers at all costs, and usually have at least a small meltdown from haircuts.

By chance, do you get really sore spots on your scalp that feel like a bruise? Or sometimes have trouble laying your head on a pillow? These things happen to me, though it's probably not significant in any way.

(Ignore this idea if you've already tried it) Could you use a scalp numbing spray/shampoo/oil? Maybe it would dull or shorten the discomfort?

If it's a problem for you, then it's a very real problem.

I've got to think about what to eat for dinner.

Shepherd's pie and bok choy.
Chia seed chocolate pudding for dessert.

Okay, I know I have a problem when I'm not studying properly for tests because I'm so addicted to the internet.

No wonder I never get anything done. I'm always on here.

My life is on hold.
Playing crappy 'hold' music.
Every now and then a voice comes on:
Your life has been placed in a queue.
Please wait for the next available reality.

That would be hilarious if I didn't know exactly what it felt like.

Shoot. It's still hilarious. The write up. Not the reality behind it.

I'm not sure whether to stay on the line or hang up.

^ Or you choose option "C" which includes rapidly hitting 0, responding to the prerecorded voice sarcastically with rhetorical questions, and then vowing to "take this whole organization down."
...Metaphorically, of course.
