Now I'll put on my happy face and say Beer made me happy today knowing I can make beer as good as the best beers in the world , better in fact because people who don't care about beer and have asbestos palates distribute this stuff over vast distances with out care

Beer is like an American tourist ie it does not travel well unless it's well pampered and even than.......

yup thats why i come here... i envy your brewing skills. i have always wanted to brew something, more specifically real ginger beer. it sounds exciting because all the recipes talk about bottles exploding and things... and its been my favourite soft drink since i read about it in the famous five by enid blyton.

today i presented my class particpation assignment. it was an anti capitalist, anti united nations, anti imperialist, anti war, anti international law rant and i may have offended my international law teacher and caused arguments within my class :D heheehee i love getting on my teachers bad side

and there was a small protest at uni around staff cuts. macquarie uni, sydney uni, australian national uni and now uni of nsw are getting cuts. ours is starting with the computing school. all the computing kids there were mightily pissed off.

My imaginary friends are back. I love them as much as I love my real family members and I miss them when they're gone.

I took my horse out for a ride this afternoon

He's a right pain in the butt but I love him to bits because of it. It's been a while since I have gotten out on him and had some fun with his speed.

We had tea early, and when I'd done, I hada shower instead of sitting around waiting for my brother and sister to finish.

Well you can use PET bottles actually I have a preference to it as I don't need or want a major accident "bottle bombs" can be a real danger 8O

The hombrew aficionados ie elite snobs may have "issues' with PET bottles though I think their great they also take less room in the fridge. And will keep beer gassed and fresh for approx 4 months (just right)

Their are 3 reasons why you may get" bottle bombs"

1. Incomplete/ stuck fermentation's (though this is a thing of the past becasue I now aerate my wort (unfermented beer) really well and I use lots of nutrients , the fermentation's go bat ^&*% I don't even use a hydrometer to see if the fermentation is complete I just use "instinct"

2.Weak bottles. capping them again and again does not help.

3. I go aggressively hard on cleaning (I use chlorine it's cheap and it works) bad bugs not only ruin beer it can cause these bombs. I also clean everything in the kitchen and surrounds , to the amusement of my Mom I even shut all doors and windows when brewing (keeps out wild yeasts and other nasties

It seems to work as I haven't had a bad batch in over 8 years :)

Hmm... It's kind of a long story of a trip out I took today that was going very poorly that turned good :)

I've been feeling very depressed lately and decided I'd get a bottle of absinthe since I enjoy that, though absinthe is expensive. So I looked up the bottle I wanted which was about $55-60 when including tax. The store I go to's online site said they had two bottles on hand. I went which costed $3 in bus fare and about 45 minutes of time round trip to go in and find out they were out of stock. I told the manager of my dissatisfaction with the circumstances that their online site claimed to have inventory and the store didn't and he gave me $3 in apology for bus fare wasted which was nice... but I was still not too happy about not getting the bottle.

Anyway, on the way back, I stopped at a store and got some things I planned to on the trip back anyway. Then I remembered a liquor store that was directly on my final stretch home. In the past, my former girlfriend and I had gone in and thought it was a terrible store because it was so small and limited and mostly a quick stop kind of store. I remembered telling her maybe the store was in the back and we didn't see a door after the experience, though she denied it and said it's all the store was. I went back thinking it impossible because it's such a large building to only use like 1/15 of it's space as a store. There was a door leading to the back :|. It was pretty well stocked though it's not like it had everything... it seemed limited due to size, but had like the best of everything I look for :D

I asked if they had absinthe and he said they did and took me to the limited selection of it. Though limited, they had my favorite brand, and the price was only slightly higher than that of the bottle I was going to get at the former store I went to :D. So I got a bottle of grande absente ($60+tax), for like a little less than $10 more than that of the planned bottle of absente at the other store :D. It was also about $20 cheaper than the bottle of the same type at the first store I went to 8O

Yeah, so I guess that made me happy a tad :). More that it was a strange luck like strings were pulled in my plan to give me something a fair bit better for about the same cost :?

Also, I suppose I'm happy that I gained the confidence to ask for the manager of the store and tell him I wasn't pleased :D. $3 in exchange for the talk wasn't all that exciting though appreciated :?. I was just mostly surprised I did :?. I think I must have appeared strange to him . I know I clearly looked stoic and serious, but there was to me a noticeable light quivering in my voice >_>... and though I probably looked displeased, I was very civil and used descriptive unusual words in a monotone voice like an autistic without saying anything mean . Actually, that's about as upset as I know how to get with someone verbally :?. I'm sure if I was a jerk face he wouldn't have given me the $3 in apology... so it's good to be strange :D

Lastly, there's happy that I found a pretty good liquor store that's only maybe like 10 minutes away from my home on foot... and not so far away that I have to spend money to take a bus to get there like the other store :D. Hah... though this new store seems kind of strange as it almost seems like a station for discreet criminal operations as the building is quite run down and the guy who worked there was sort of scary, though he was nice, but maybe because I wasn't annoying and I bought an expensive bottle off his shelf >_>

I'm also happy to have alcohol again :D... nights without it, like last night, are pretty rough and include bad panic attacks and insomnia due to the unbearable stress and emotions in my head :|

Seeing all those emoticons on one post kinda sorta made me happy today (and that hardly ever happens being as flat as a pancake.

Who wants pancake ?

I bought a cheese grater in the shape of a hedgehog. I like it so much it is sitting on my bedside table so I can look at it.
