I need glasses to find my own hands.

I can’t even get out bed without them.

I wear glasses all the time. I can read without glasses but it is blurry to do so and I get eye strain.

So yes, I do use glasses to read.

Nope

Have you ever been immobilised from starting your day because a kitten needs to suck your robe?

I have never been immobilized due to a kitten in such a way.

Has a cat every jumped into your hair?

One of my cats likes to sleep on my pillow above me and knead my hair. She hasn't done it for a while. One of the kittens is an Olympic jumper who once leapt from my kitchen table clear across the kitchen onto my upper back with his claws, before sliding all the way down and ripping me in shreds which I couldn't reach to treat.

The best compliment I've received was in a speech he gave about me during his brother's wedding last September. He dedicated a song to me after we'd been through a really rough year. The speech was about how blessed he was to have my trust and love. It was an outdoor wedding at night. He looked smashing in his tux and I felt like a million bucks in my copper silk dress. Normally I wouldn't want all eyes on me but it was a really powerful moment and I have a thing for dancing with a man in a tux, especially him. Beyond that, the best compliment I've received is having his trust and love in return.

I'm good with watching a movie on a small or large screen. Some days going to a theater can be too much of a hassle anyway.


What is your favorite drink?

A flat white coffee from a coffee shop is a favourite.

Do you have air conditioning at home?

I have night storage heaters which are terrible and expensive and a woodburning stove.

Do you like fire?

I like an open fire, or one of them old hearth fireplaces. I wouldn't like being on fire.

Do you like spicy food?

To the level of the one-chip challenge, yes.

Yes, medium spicy is nice, hot on occasion if I am feeling adventurous.

Do you dislike telephone calls?

Yes. I especially hate initiating them and having to wait on hold, push the right buttons, or explain what I want. It's a little better if they ring me and I'm expecting it. In my personal life I do brief telephone calls with loved ones if I have to, but I prefer text form.


What are your least admirable character traits?

I can be paranoid at times (not chronically, but often enough for it to be bothersome and other people don't like paranoia in other people).
