today i presented my oral presentation on refugee rights. well actually it was supposed to be about the tampa affair and agenda setting but it turned into a self indulgent rant about refugee rights. the teacher said i got a high distinction but i suspect i was hallucinating from lack of sleep. my teacher is good on refugees- she works with them as a lobbyist. she was happy that i snuck in an advert for the world refugee day rally and urged people to go. after class two students came up to me and told me they really enjoyed my presentation and one was like "i felt like cheering at everything you said". one guy in my class was laughing at my talk though which was distracting but i dont care that he found the overt marxist analysis of it amusing- he's in the labour party.

today i was also in the library studying when i heard this little snippet- "people dont understand how hard it is to be in design- yesterday i spent 12 hours in front of the computer with no food or toilet breaks!" oh i know what thats like and boy am i glad i got the heck outta there. hehehehehe

i also applyed for arts/education. i won't be selected, my average is too low because i failed engineering but...

oh and this morning my comrade said she needed to talk to me about something and she asked me if i wwanted to be involved in the campaign for marriage equality(among other queer related things) and i said yes! i will suck at it but who knows, maybe they will whip me into shape. it's how i met them for real and it is what i have wanted to do since i was a primary school kid! i am excited. it was a fabulous way to start the day.

I got an extra 40+ minutes of ice time this Friday night public session, as there was hockey on the ice downstairs, so I got to stay on. I probably could have stayed on another 40 minutes, but the zamboni driver guy told me I had 'til around 9, I got off at 9:12, probably could have stayed on but, yeah... Still, it was awesome, I had the ice to myself for those 40 minutes, and for the rest of the session, just one kid and his dad, no annoying gang of high schoolers like last time. Quite happy about today's session.

I wish my dog would walk! He's 3 1/2 months old and he's only been going out for a few days, he point blank refuses to walk when we're outside and it's sooo embarrassing. I've been training him inside walking up and down with the lead on but it's not seemed to transfer to outside yet..

I'd love to have a beach to walk on though.... I think i might need to get a a driving license and a car so i can go some nice places.

Listening to some music that a friend of mine made. She's very talented, even though she doesn't think that she is.
