Every day I must break down the wall. Lately, the wall has been besting me.

I'm convinced that some people will have a life of ease while others will have tortured miserable existences.

Uh, hey you guys, remember how a couple of posts ago I talked about my financial trouble? Well, I just saw that my mother deposited a little bit of money on my account, but here's the cruncher: in the transaction description she wrote down: 'you're the best thing that ever happened to me'. I've been going through some rotten moods this past months (though you mostly wouldn't tell from my posting here) and I've been on the phone with my mother a couple of times, but this message she left just makes me want to cry. Maybe that sounds silly and insignificant. But I've really been in a "me-against-the-world" mode offline lately.

Also, yes, that's a Gladys Knight reference, because my mother always says that the lyrics accurately describe how she feels about me.

So yeah, pretty much choking up here. But I'm suppressing the tears.

wow. it must be hard to be so emotionally deep. when i was younger i thought everyone was acting as if they felt emotions because i did not believe they really existed. i thought emotions were like expected moves in a dance that means nothing.

but after enough time went by, i realized that people really are crippled by emotions because they would not spend so much of their life complaining if they were not.

sounds like hell to me.

how do they know that no one else on earth has identical fingerprints to me?
to establish that fact, everyone on earth would have to have their fingerprints recorded and scanned against my own finger prints. or maybe it is the fractal nature of the idiosyncrasies in fingerprints that ensure distinction on the deepest level of inspection.

i wonder how people with different finger prints to my own feel things.
fingerprints are a friction raising tool that assists with the manipulation of smooth objects.
when i pick up a glass, my fingers dermal invaginations ("prints") determine how i feel the glass.
i am completely used to how i feel a glass, but if i had the fingerprints of someone entirely different to me, then i expect the glass would feel foreign in my hand.

My cat put her paws on either side of my face and left them there, like a hug, for half a minute.

If Rob Ford so much as lays a hand on my B.C. Lions, he will NOT hear the end of it!
