Love the new avatar, whiteskunk!

I confess that when I was a little girl I also had a crush on... Q.

I'd hate to see the Freudian analysis of all this.

I confess, I just watched in morbid fascination as a large cellar spider who's staying in my bathroom grabbed and consumed a smaller cellar spider. 8O

Nature's harsh.

Good fortune,

This may be too late, but with all this Turtle Talk I am reminded of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles RPG. Anyone play this besides me?

I actually only played a few times, but the game is actually really good. The rule system for creating mutants is quite fleshed out, most any mutation you would want is in there. And it had lots of rules for different animals.

Edit: forgot to keep to the point of this thread... since crushes are the confessions du jour...

I confess I had a crush on Melissa Joan Hart from Clarissa Explains It All. I would vehemently deny it when my Father said so... "I'm watching it just because it's funny Dad!"

Little did I know that They Might Be Giants was referenced in this show... a crush I have of a different kind.

Edit #2:I was trying to find a nice quality pic of her, but google image search has failed me... DVD boxart will have to do.

Woo! Whiteskunk! Fix the pics, man!

I confess I didn't know that there was a TMNT RPG!

Have I died and gone to dork heaven?

I confess, that book is sitting on a shelf in my office at work, along with a small collection of other vintage role playing stuff (mostly old first ed. AD&D books).

I only ever had one character in that particular RPG, but I loved that character. His name was Dieter, and he was a mutant crocodile from West Berlin; he was a firearms specialist and an engineer. It was a short lived but very fun campaign that I participated in. Our GM let things run a bit Monty Hall, and after a time I was able to acquire a ludicrous amount of wealth. I used this wealth to build an über assault van which, just for fun, looked just like the classic A-Team van, black with the red stripe.
Image
I decked that van out with every available option to the point of being absolutely ridiculous. It was heavily armed (I liked the side-shooting flamethrowers the best  ), heavily armored, and super-turbo charged to be able to achieve a top speed of over 300mph :!: (please don't ask me how it turned at that speed).

Fun times! Thanks sparking a trip down memory lane...

Good fortune,

- Icarus Had a Crush on April

This pic brings another memory... or just a thought.

I confess, Every successful RPG group I've had was just a re-imagining of the A-Team.

Every character fulfilled a role just like the A-team guys. There were minor disagreements that were hilarious. We solved every mission with creative and sometimes convoluted solutions... which more often than not ended in explosions.

And lots of fighting... but no one ever died...

Oh, they're cool. But if you put them on different lines, then they won't stretch the page. But we're on a new page now, so it's all good.

Lemme see.... another childhood crush. I had this one when I was ten. I confess, I had a crush on the Greek god Hephaestus.

And whiteskunk, check your inbox! :)

Icarus, any West End Games Star Wars books among the AD&D?

That's my favorite RPG. It's a shame the company is no more....

I'm not even going to touch D20 Star Wars... ick...

Edit: oh crap... I have to think up another crush to confess.

I confess, I had a crush on Rydia from Final Fantasy II... er IV.

Image

And I think the Red Mage... that's a woman right... :?

As I recall, Hephaestus ended up with Aphrodite, thus proving the age old adage that it doesn't matter how freaky looking you are; if you can build and fix stuff, you can still get the best chicks. Or, uh, something like that.

I confess, I still have a crush on Eris, my beautiful goddess of chaos.
Image
And she gives me no end of a hard time about it, too! (She's a harsh mistress, but I can take it.)

Good fortune,

- Icarus Hails Eris!

Nope, none of those. TMNT is the only Palladium book, and most of the rest of the non-AD&D stuff is a smattering of Shadowrun stuff. Oh, and the original Gamma World boxed set (the pride of my collection, even though the box is kinda crushed and water damaged). Oh, and a bit of Star Frontiers and Battletech stuff.

I participated in a West End Star Wars campaign briefly; it was a long running campaign that I jumped into, and all of my stuff was borrowed. I recall I had a Trandoshan bounty hunter, and spent a lot of time obsessing about upgrading my ship, a small freighter. (Hmm, Icarus seems to have a penchant for super-vehicles). Unfortunately, at that phase in my life, my knowledge of the Star Wars universe was rather minimal; these days, as I've read some of the novels and played some good RPGs like the KotOR series, I would probably be much more into it.

Good fortune,

- Icarus is Brimming with Midichlorians

I confess that sitting in a guesthouse net cafe with the fumes from someone's deodorant is making me about ready to go mad from need to sneeze and nasal sensitivities.

If we're going this route. I would have to say Lilith. Despite the legends, etc about her. If you read from the Torah. Lilith could best be described as the worlds first Feminist.

I confess that I gave up having crushes on characters years ago; they always (without exception) died or became evil.
