this would be terrifying to the passengers. no helicopter can land on the deck, and passenger rescue is impossible in this situation.

i imagine that the passengers would be told to leave their cabins and assemble in a large room like the ball room so that they can be accounted for and accessed by the rescue effort if the ship capsized.

i imagine that all the cupboard doors would have flung open, and all the plates would have fallen out and smashed on the floor, and all the glasses would also have fallen off the shelves and smashed, and i imagine hundreds of passengers sliding form one side of the hall to the other as the ship heaved, and i imagine them being slammed by tables and chairs and smashed plates and glasses and other passengers every time the ship listed in either direction.

add to this that there is no chance of alighting the ship for a few hours, and it would be a situation that would be hell.

this video seems to be taken from a rescue helicopter who can only helplessly hover and watch. naughty captain!

i really like to hear these men talking.
they are professional air traffic controllers. the plane takes ages to lift off, and it is interesting. one of them is a heavy smoker is seems and that is amusing to me in a way.
