I liked the tune, b9. I think it had a "happy, sunny day in the city" kind of feel to it.

I just read something about that. It's actually supposed to be colly birds, which are blackbirds. A few versions had canary birds instead. :D

how very curious.
here in the southern hemisphere, summer begins on december 1 and ends on february the whatevereth (28th or 29th depending on the year).

your winter solstice is at the same time as our summer solstice. today is the longest period of sunlight in the year down here.

the sun "came up" at 5:45, and it "went down" at 20:08, and it did not get completely dark until 20:50.

it was hot today in the blue mountains. it was hotter here than it was in sydney that is 3000 feet lower in altitude.

usually where i live, the temperature is 7-8 degrees celsius lower than the temperature in the sydney basin. but in the last week, that has not been the case.

Want to trade? I've got a storm coming and I'd rather have rain than snow. I'm already tired of it.

i would think that truly lazy people would be too lazy to realize that they are lazy.
it takes a certain amount of self scrutiny to arrive at the idea that one is lazy, and i think truly lazy people would not bother with self scrutiny.

the only way i could trade is if i turned the world upside down.
i have thunderstorms regularly happening in this area particularly during the summer months.
i am always excited about an approaching thunderstorm with icy cold drops of rain in it after a sweltering day of heat. because i have my house insured against storm damage, i am not worried, and i look out the window and think "bring it on!! !".

i am sure that your winter storms are quite a nuisance because they do not bring relief, but they bring reinforcement to an already bleak atmospheric situation.

you have bad weather where you live in my opinion.
