Somehow I am not familiar with any version of Candle in the Wind. (If you are around, CockneyRebel, is there a particular version you would recommend?)

What's a song or piece of music that moved you deeply as a child? Feel free to either name it only or share the memory - where you were, what you felt, what you liked about it, etc.

Downtown sung by Petulia Clark
Nt the first song I remember, but I remember a sense of joy with Downtown, even though it starts -
When you're alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go downtown

What is the first coloring book you remember?

I liked Golden Brown just now, and I would have liked it as a child.

I don't think I had colouring books till I was grown. I remember in school we were given a picture of moonlit houses to colour and someone came in to judge which of us was best at colouring inside the lines :-)

Please describe a favourite outfit or article of clothing. Feel free to add why you enjoy or enjoyed wearing it, if you would like to expand a little!

Hahaha I'm going to answer my own question and try to ask a better one ;-)

I like clothes that people have given me. I wear them literally to pieces. Right now I have a few tatty cozy jumpers and a really nice Aran cardigan.

What's your favourite movie?

My favorite movie.
Today? Let's say The Haunting (1963), possibly My Life as a Dog (1985)

What is your favorite dinner food?

Grilled salmon with rice and vegetables.

Why did you choose the username you're using on Wrong Planet? Is it a story / a joke / a special interest?

Story and Special interest - my younger son could be the special interest. I nicknamed him Goblin on his first Halloween in 1991. He needed a log in name for Star Wars Galaxy Online. He was 13 and wanted to use his actual name. I suggested goblin. He did not like it. I suggested PCGoblin and he yelled "That's it!" Not really, but we settled on PCGoblin. He eventually dropped it for another user name, and he dropped his SWG account before SWG closed . I took over his SWG account until they closed the servers. I was paying for the account.
That's the story of PCGoblin. Goblin, because he was my little goblin and PC because... personal computers. In 1913, when I joined WrongPlanet, I was still using pcgoblin.

Same question.

I chose mine based on the fact that I play videogames in my own unique way. Using cheat codes to beat certain games becomes a core identity of my hobby.

How would you arrange playing card suits in a rock, paper, scissors order, as in which suits should defeat which?

Well there was the Very High Heels phase. And the Barefoot Everywhere, No Exceptions phase. And the Combat Boots Only phase. And now I am back to bare feet mostly. I have some lovely but profoundly uncomfortable brogues for when I really can't get away with it.

I would like to wear sneakers, theoretically, because they look comfy. But I go to look at them in the store and cannot buy them because I don't like the materials or they are ugly or they are not ethically made, etc., etc.

That is a very cute story about you and your son, by the way, pcgoblin :)

Improve my Spanish, if not master ASL or French.

Regardless of how often you read books, what do you think are the greatest
autobiographies or memoirs ever written?

'what do you think are the greatest autobiographies or memoirs ever written?'
in the category of impossible questions, no one can have read all autobios or memoirs in the world
two personal preferences, memoirs, maybe ?
The enigma of arrival , VS Naipaul (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Enigma_of_Arrival)
Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China , Jung Chang (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Swans)

what is last book you read or used otherwise ?
