well yummy you.
yes the yeast is bitter after fermentation
i retracted my post that you quoted the next morning when i realized that it was inappropriate, and yet you use it erroneously to continue your conversation about yeast.
anyway, yeast enables fermentation of sugars, and when the sugars are all eaten by the yeast (and shat by them out as alcohol), the yeast dies and is no longer a component in the story.
yeast does not ferment. only sugars ferment enabled by yeast.
i guess if an alcoholic beverage is not fully fermented, then it will contain some undigested sugars from the wort, however i do not believe vegemite is derived from partially fermented worts.
i will read your link now..........................................................
ok. it says that there is up to 2.2 grams of sugar per hundred grams of alcohol. that would be the undigested sugars in the wort at the time of skimming the dead yeast out from the wort (which is no longer wort after the yeast has been extracted), so you may be correct in your assertion that vegemite contains inherent sugar, but i hardly see how it is sufficient to warrant a protest against it.
but i do not really care anyway. i like vegemite more than i would like other people to be turned on to it.

i never liked beer anyway.

well i suppose i should be tender in my response considering your crying icon, but that is as tender as i can be. my "tenderness" suffers from a cyclic redundancy in a way.
