I'm going to feel really hungry in two hours.

MINIRANTTIME: there's no decent rock music being made right now; a lot of washed up alt, indie, and post grunge bands churning out albums, but nothing original that I want to listen to. On top of it all pop music has gone from expected mediocrity to genuinely bad. I'm going into musical hibernation: wake me when metalcore and dub-heavy, ear-splitting anthem pop die.

The first Hayao Miyazaki film I saw was Spirited Away, back when I was a kid. Now I have decided that I will watch some of his other films. I am planning on renting Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and My Neighbor Totoro from Netflix. I plan on rewatching Spirited Away too.

At first I thought about seeing The Wind Rises in theaters, but now I'm thinking it would be better for me to wait till it becomes available to rent from Netflix too. After all, I do have a history of having meltdowns after coming home from the movie theater.

I love a great adventure down in Seattle, and today was a great one for me.

I am taking "baby steps" in changing an aspect of my personality that gives me a lot of grief - my indecisiveness. I need to have more confidence in the decisions I make.

For example, this morning I decided that I wanted to go see The Wind Rises at the movie theater within the next week, and I got super pumped about it.

But by the late afternoon/early evening, I began to have my doubts. I even made a post that reinforced my doubts by saying that a lot of times I have meltdowns after coming home from the theater.

But when I was watching TV with my parents and a commercial for The Wind Rises came on, it strengthened my resolve to stand by my decision. Now I'm doing all I can to avoid doing things that would sway my decision again, such as reading movie reviews. To quote Jim Carrey's Grinch - "I'm going, and that's that!" 8)

Well, I found quite a bit of stuff today @ the three Value Villages in Seattle. First, I find a nice green sweater w/white, black and silver stripes across it, then I find two baseball caps (one of the Colorado Rockies, the black crown/purple bill model and a Lake Elsinore Storm cap), then I find a nice little 13' Sharp LCD TV that will fit the bill nicely in my new 'entertainment nook' in my room.

WOW! You did have a good day.

Is that some kind of thrift store where you went?

I knew because I already felt pretty hungry, but I guessed wrong because shortly after posting that I had a snack. It worked out well, because the restaurant experience would have made me really irritated if I had felt as hungry as I would have felt without that snack. Or so I suspect.

My mum should be phoning any minute to pick me up. I must get my dishes done.

It's supposed to snow between 10 and 25 centimeters today and tomorrow. I think I'll send my younger friend an E-mail giving him a suggestion that he and his dad salt from the back of his dad's driveway to the main road that his street leads to.
