blabbs you do realise you have a LOT of dreams about being in white rooms, right?

It's definitely an ongoing theme for you, as well as seeing your parents or having army obligations.

I think it's fascinating that your dreams are often so similar.

i used to have a recurring dream, in 2 versions reminiscent of steven king-

the first one was i was trapped in a dingy, cruddy dim room with one flickering lightbulb high above me, and there were only dusty windows with nighttime outside, so no outdoor light coming through them, but they were covered over with crud and cobwebs and dusty to boot. anyways, i was in the middle of this room with cascades of cockroaches and other nasty creepy-crawlies oozing towards me as a solid mass of insects, making loud crunching noises as they moved, and i had only a little whisk broom to fend them off. they were crawling up my legs and biting and i would frantically sweep them off with my whisk broom and curse at them wildly.

the second one was me trapped in a nasty cruddy lavatory, with crap-encrusted toilets and floors and no windows, just a dim flickering lightbulb high up on the ceiling which must've been 20 feet above me. i had to go like a bastard, so i went [in the dream] and i clogged the bowl. as soon as i flushed the toilet, the damned thing flooded and soon i was swimming in sewage, with turds floating all over the place, and it stank to heaven and the sewage water was rising over my mouth and i was spitting it out blowing it out of my nose and wiping it from my eyes, and the turds were getting stuck in my hair and jammed in my ears, and i was gasping for air and there was only dense foul septic fart gas to breathe.

when i awoke from both of these dreams, i went "GAAAA!! !" and i was soaked in sweat and my heart was pounding. i could not go back to sleep afterwards, i would just toss and turn in terror of winding up right back in those nightmares. it took me decades to figure out what those bad dreams were trying to tell me - "don't let little "stuff" get to me." IOW don't be so disturbed over small irritations, which used to rile me.

thats a good interpetation .In older medicine concepts bad nightmarish dreams were a sign that there was something off in the bodies health , btw..

i useta have lots more nightmares most nights, than i do now. i'm thankful for the reduction. but i have less dreams now than i useta also. so mixed blessing?

I think there was a thread on here recently where people were discussing military haircuts and some people said it was fascist. Maybe that triggered you to think of the stereotypes of military as being racist and violent.

i was in the army and i can tell you from that vantage point that it was racist and violent from what i saw of my fellow GIs and how they related to one another. butch-short hair is a turn-off for me. can you tell me where that thread is?

I know it's racist and violent. :(

I'm just trying to remember where the thread was. Give me a few minutes.

Edit: I must be losing my mind blabbs. I can't find it anywhere. Maybe I dreamed it?

I noticed that there was a PM in my inbox from an unknown member. I opened it up, it was a video someone had made of their Covid song. The young guy danced around on top of a train singing then climbed down into a carriage, as he sang his face started to morph and mutate. It was surprisingly well done.

I left the house and walked through a town into the suburbs and beyond till I arrived at a large shack with a veranda. There were monkeys around an it was hot, things had a tropical fee. I found my chainsaw and walked down to a beach where I found a tree growing underneath a bridge on the shore. The limbs of the tree had grown horizontally under the bridge, like you see with windswept trees.

When I cut through the nearest limb I noticed that it was fused together with another and cutting further, I saw that at least four of them were fused and that there was an inner limb growing through the middle of the clump meaning tonnes of wood was going to come down at once after a few more cuts.

I was aware of the monkeys but there was another animal in the peripheries of my awareness, maybe a pet animal which belonged to the house. I don't remember what kind of animal it was, maybe an armadillo. I had wanted the animal to approach but now I needed to keep it away from the tree, so I tossed a few pebbles in its direction and it scurried away.

Just then a flash of lightning struck just a few feet away. I picked up the chainsaw and headed back into town. It started to rain and I wandered into the cafe area of a care home, the two people that were inside didn't seem bothered and I perched on the window sill for ten minutes and gave an explanation as I left.

I was closer to the town center, a friend was with me and we were chatting away. We were crossing a road when I realised that I didn't have the chainsaw with me. Turning around I could see some people bundling it into their car, I must have put it down while waiting for a break in the traffic. I ran to the car, struggling to get my phone out and take a photo of their numberplate. They looked surprised and slightly insulted by my filming them and gave me the saw back immediately. As they drove off I yelled "good people!"

Yes.

Also -he used to frequently dream about being attacked by swarms of bees/hornets/wasps.

Then recently he reported a dream in which a swarm of bees landed on him and covered him. He was scared, but the bees somehow telepathically communicated to him that, like Barney, they loved him, and they just kissed him. When I read that I thought that maybe that dream marks the end of his angry bee nightmares. Which would be a good thing IMHO. Lol!

^^^Natural, i sure hope so!

i dreamt i was swimming in a public indoor pool, in the lane with me was somebody with a small paddle boat, and two women who tried their best to steer clear of me and the paddle boat. then after swimming a few laps i got up out of the pool and went into the office of my swim coach/pool manager, we discussed our goals amidst the coronavirus mess. then i awoke. this was the first dream i ever had about COVID-19.

am aware everyone is suppose to dream but most often sleep feels like suspended animation
...... it would appear rarely have dreams that are dramatic enough to stand out. Or perhaps i dream very little / All seem to be based in facts supplied by my mind, around specific life experiences .
or Immediate life situations .
Would welcome some fantasy type stuff .. The more horrible ones , have had made me aware, in the dream,< of lack of probability critique> . Then some part of the mind kicks in . Allowing me of awareness inside the dream of . that its probability level is off . And generously am able to observe the dream from a outside prespective , Consequently a almost immediate analysis starts ,
and as this awareness comes , conciousness is right around the corner . Have intentionally extended the dream on a subconcious level . Generally understood it is a release mechanism for my own mind at this subconcious level . So there is a positive feeling and usually like to hopefully see where the dream leads. More often that not . The dream leaves me wanting more cause in that realm , generally my body is feeling , no pain . Hope this does not sound like heresy to anyone , but have had dreams that provide a certain degree of entertainment , in the emotional release mode . On the rare occassion the activity in the dream is too much will waken abruptly , so much that , i lose content of what the dream was about .
Must admit at this point in my late Teens did practice Lucid Dreaming, while it did not always work, there were enough times that , i am able to apply it to haphazard dreaming
(or maybe just listened to Alan Parson Project Song '' A Dream within a Dream''
one too many times .
