I used my last £5 to put on my gas meter, but being a pre-payment meter that £5 turns into £1.38 so I still only have about £2 left...if I don't get my money on Friday I'm going to be cold, unwashed and unfed...undesirable when boyfriend is visiting. Got so much to do but sleeping so much (I believe due to new meds) and with no cash for gas and cleaning supplies nothing is getting done. Making me anxious.

I've got a terrible cold!!

And my music teacher wasn't here today! He's hardly ever off, why'd he have to choose a day when we had a lesson to get ill?

A friend of mine has a potential medical issue with her blood. I hope it isn't diabetes or something else serious.

More bus-drivers are being trained on the routes, and my 2 favourite ones who I'm friendly with aren't on the buses I get at the moment so I can't ask anybody what's going on. No good asking the others because I don't know them well enough and they'll probably look at me funny and say, ''none of your business''. :(

I found the quilt that I'd made when I was very young was put outside by the people who were living here temporarily, and squirrels have destroyed it.

It seems like everyone's trying to make me feel like an idiot today.

I found out too that morning.

Kjas is not happy - perhaps another understatement of the century.

There was already a protest organised for the 17th (tomorrow) - but now I will be going, and also organising as many latinos to come along with as possible, which should be a sizable amount.

If you're going to protest, please do it somewhere that will actually make a difference -- like the Knesset or the Wailing Wall -- and not someplace completely unrelated, like downtown Los Angeles, Times Square, or the Washington Mall, where you'll only block traffic and alienate people on their way to work.

Our governement supports Israel, including in political, military and technological support.

I do not live in the USA.
Besides that - for protests here, we always notify police first. Someitmes we stick to areas that are walking areas only. If we go on the roads, it is always with a police escort - in the interests of not causing chaos... if necessary (but rarely) they block off the roads, and people simply use a different route.

Honestly, I do not usually protest, except on special occasions. We have other more useful things to do that will make more difference than just that (which we will also be doing) - but on this occasion I believe it's called for - especially since our government has seen fit to send our troops to two wars we have nothing to do with against 80% of the populations will.

When the governement is going against what 80% of the country wants and has ignored everything said on the subject - it's ridiculous to still pretend it is a democracy - representitive or otherwise. The fact that they refuse to listen to us is just as important, and as big a part of a problem as what is being done in our name.

there was a protest organised our way on the same day by chance. went to that. we organised another in response to the war for the 24th. it'll be hard to mobilise people on such short notice but hopefully people are insensed. i hope yours goes well. everybody knows which side our government is going to be on.

fnord: protests are disruptive by their very nature. they don't alienate people- they raise awareness and get people on our side. people often wave, honk, take pictures or join rallies when they see them. it might make you happy(or it mightn't) to know that next rally we are marching up to the israeli consulate and us consulate in sydney at 12pm.

Something that made me unhappy today was having a situation I need taken care of at work ignored.
