Yesterday the bar I was in got full, and they weren't letting anyone else in. A group of six of my friends was waiting outside, and I knew it'd take a while for them to get in front of the queue, but I managed to convince the administration to let them pass, we had space in our table so it was easy. Later on the night four more of my friends arrived, and it took me two minutes of talking to make them budge and let them pass, but in the end I made it too! Basically, I single-handedly allowed 10 people to get inside an otherwise hard-to-enter bar, it's amazing I could pull that off!

yesterday/today because im up late/early was good. i went to youthgroup and played mario with people and ate good food. i also went to an activist group meeting and a couple of queer refugees the group had been working with in trying to get them refugee status and permanent residency were there and we went out to celebrate their victory. it was obscene, what theyve been through. theyve been going through this for 4 years now. if they lost the case they would have had to pay $60000 in legal fees. the opposing side was putting forth evidence against them that said they werent gay. the evidence was an anonymous fax from overseas with all their details. the only people that know thier details are the people in australia. if we had faxed in a letter saying they were gay i wonder if that would have been used as evidence for their side. it was conveinient that after the meeting we were able to go upstairs and have a refugee art exhibition be waiting for us with free food and drinks. the pizza and apple juice were high end.
