Hmm...I guess out of context that does sound a little interesting, now doesn't it!

I confess that one of my kids woke up with an awful case of croup and I am crossing all of the crossable parts that I don't end up having to take him to ER tonight. It sucks to have sick kids when you're far from home. I don't even know where the hospital is. :?

I confess i wonder what croup is :chin: we have
something called krupp, probably the same thing,
think its when they just wont stop screaming or
something

I also confess i have had all the kiddy illneses,
except one...and of course thats the one every
man alive fears to get as an adult, thats the one
illnes you want to get as a kid. My mom tried to
get me infected to get it over with, we went
visiting other kids who had it, but i didnt get it.
..and i hope i never will 8O uh, the horror..
i completly blank out on what its called...
anyway

I confess that you're probably talking about chicken pox? I got it when I was 14 and it was brutal.

Croup is a respiratory infestion that often affect infants and children under age 6. It is characterized by a barking cough; a whistling, obstructive sound (stridor) as the child breathes in; and hoarseness due to obstruction in the region of the larynx. My son is 10 and he still gets an awful case of it when he gets a cold. We usually have to take him to ER for oxygen and a steroid injection to open up his airways. Kids who have asthma or were born prematurely are often more at risk. My little guy was a preemie. Croup gets worse at night and I'm really hoping it doesn't require a trip to the hospital because I'm on my own with the kids at the cottage. *eek*

sounds like croup and krupp are the same then

I confess i hope you dont have to take the trip to the hospital
and that he gets well soon

I confess that when i was 11 years old i came home
one day and said to my mom;

"mom, theres a swing class at the local school and i
want to take it to learn to dance swing"

When my mom woke up again after passing out from
the massive surprise, she was wondering a little why
but she was pleased that i wanted to do it. So i took
the class. Oh, and my dad looked like this for a while 8O

Why would i want to learn how to dance swing? And
why on earth would i want to take a class? a class
ment alot of other people around 8O i could just
have learned it at home.

The answer is easy, you see there was this girl that
was in that swingclass and that was the only place i
had seen here around :)

Woman..

I confess it suddenly hit me, its not the chicken pox,
its the mumps (parotitis epidemica) i`m talking about,
it makes things swell up.. 8O I think most kids are
vacinated against that now if i dont remember wrong,
so its not very usual
