Ah, sea stories; the big seas.

Generally not that big (though more than big enough for the boats in question), and I sadly missed out on some doozies due to being too young at the time so I wasn't allowed out.

-swells kicked up to 3 meters off the coast about 8 miles out, though there was no wind (thankfully). Going over them in a 14 foot dinghy was like driving over hills and humbling. Which was pretty awesome -- apart from the swell, the water was glassy. Saw a small whale that day too which decided to check out the boat ("small" is relative when it's bigger than the boat)

-waves of about 2 meters with sucky winds on the way home making them all white caps (the dark clouds came out of nowhere); an 18 foot plate boat this time. Holding your breath felt like ages after each wave (longer than a second), waiting for the bow to smash into the displaced water after the wave, and the jarring thuds when waves were close together so the bow smashes into the one after. That was one rough slog home (30 miles)

They're the two I remember vividly.

Something's wrong with my mobile phone battery. It had >80% left when I put it in my locker. When I took it out of the locker 5 hours later, it was completely flat. It's been less than a year since I bought it. So it should still be under warranty.

My index finger on my right hand is clicking. I've only just noticed it.

It sounds like when you click a pen up and down.

It's coming from the nail area.

Weird!!

Self-deception looks like dramatic irony in real life.
