Boredom. It's a good thing, really.

"oh well. don't listen to me" i told them repeatedly, but they did not pay attention, so i eventually screamed it from the rooftops, still to no avail.

I agree with the comedian Doug Stanhope: "Boredom is a disease worse than cancer." There's no sense in boredom. There's too much to do, even if you're dead broke.

It's listlessness that's the real pisser, when you have lots to do but find yourself losing interest in literally everything. Worst feeling ever. I'd rather be dead.

the look of people's teeth distracts me from what they are saying.
if they did not have teeth, then that would also distract me from what they are saying.
i wonder whether i should not look at their teeth. but so many people rely on their displays of their teeth to get their indistinct messages across.

teeth last for a long time. paleontologists are always happy when they find a tooth.

but the jaws those teeth were set in, and the types of smiles those teeth were involved in are forever lost to conscious appraisal.

The wind outside is getting scary.

i keep forgetting numbers don't need to be capitalized.
most of the time when i'm typing a date or time (e.g 10:00) i 'shift' and type !):)).

Even though I drove the papers down there, I still don't trust this process one bit.

I love coffee in the afternoon.

I donated $50 to the ASPCA months ago, and since that time, I think they've sent me more than $50 worth of letters and pamphlets begging me for more money. I wish they had just used the damn money I did give them for something useful.

For an assignment, I have to pick a country and write a pamphlet for exchange students to introduce them to the little West Texas town where I live. I picked The Netherlands, and I'm trying to write it in the style of How not to get hit by a bike, a famous guide to Amsterdam. I'm actually titling it How Not to Get Hit by a Pickup Truck. I hope I don't give the impression that I really hate this plac., even though I kind of do. I don't hate all of it.
