Yesterday, I had to get the fire brigade out as the property across the road was on fire (they burnt off, but it restarted due to the heat and wind), and no one was around to keep an eye on it (I called all four of their phones and none answered).

That was fun. I still smell smoke.

Today is a bit cooler than yesterday. What a relief.

Even though I've had à long time to get used to the fact that I have Asperger's, even when I think about it now, it still blows my mind to think -
The way I've been all my life was written down in books. I just didn't know it.
The way I've been all my life, all of my behaviours, experiences, skills, hardships and disabilities are all part of something that has a name.
I wasn't aware there were others out there who shared common traits
I never knew I was living the life of an Aspie until I was about 39.
After I was diagnosed and started reading about it, it was like reading about my life story.

Now I know why I can do some of the most awesome stuff but couldn't socialise to save my life, and why I have those specific Special Interests and how I can hyperfocus on them for long periods of uninterrupted time.

I'm pleased to be an Aspie
