4 x 440ml cans of Murphy's Irish Stout from Asda, £4.23.

I'm guessing that this is an alternative to Guinness. Wonder if it'll be better? I'm actually not a huge Guinness fan, so the bar isn't being set very high here.....

Chez NOZ again; I chanced on some nice looking long sleeve t shirts, polyester, but well made, in my size, and bigger, and bigger still (great for layering, to ward off the winter chill). As usual, I couldn’t just settle for one of each, partly being just six in n°, I though I might as well get the lot, and why not for 1€99 each?

Is this another case of breweries catering to what they think the locals would prefer? If so , I wish they wouldn’t; I once bought a pint of Bodington’s, in expectation that it would be like the Boddingtons I’d tasted in Manchester. Instead, it tasted just like the Greenhal Whitley muck that was usually sold there (because there was nothing better available...).

I do like Guinness export, and then there’s bottled Guinness, which is quite different, and best drunk from a small glass into which it has been poured vigorously to get rid of the gas, making it much nicer (shades of “shaken, not stirred”?).
