^ Interesting! I'm British, but I didn't know that.

There's a thread in "Off The Wall" called Obscure Facts Ya Know, which is a natural home for stuff like this.

Aspie Shine Time

I work in the city (Sydney) and I've never seen it so empty. It's like a ghost town. It's as if no one else exists.

Walking around downstairs whilst having a cigarette, a smile came over my face because I finally had something to compare with the usual 100's of people milling around. Being all alone down there felt so wonderful and it really highlighted just how much stress I'm usually under but didn't know it, being around all those people all the time.

It's almost a pleasure to be at work at this time of year. The office is dead!

:D

I saw him two or three years ago on a rebroadcast of a Top Gear episode. He was there to drive the reasonably priced car.

Probably a much more sensible choice than opting to drive a McLaren F1 or something, in view of his situation!

The other day I had one of those full circle moments. I was in the grocery store where I worked from 14-19 years of age. A female cashier was giving a male bagger crap about never smiling. When I worked there, there was a girl that always gave me the same crap. I dunno felt like sharing. I really hated that job.

I have trouble telling if some people are male or female. That can be embarrassing.

that is a sufficiently common meme that comedians make light of it, in a general sense-

I remember a long time ago when lots of men wore their hair down their backs, I had to get around some slowpoking person in the supermarket aisle, and I could only see their back and they were compactly built and their hair went down to the buttocks, and I was being polite by saying "excuse me, ma'am" and the person angrily whipped around and turned out to be a very offended & short-tempered man who yelled at me, "WHAT THE @#$% YOU MEAN 'MA'AM'?!"
