Oh auntblabby, I don't like deep frying - especially inebriated 
I've almost got the oil to 180°C (356°F)
Fluke digital Laser thermometer. Point and shoot. Red beam goes into the oil, reading comes up on the little screen on the back of the gun. MAGIC!

Well, it's nice but I don't know if it's worth all the effort of blending, grinding and mixing for ages at a time when I can just go to Woolworths and grab a packet of Tandaco Chicken Coating and be done with it.
Yeah, bugger it. Tandaco's the way to go! Can you deep fry it? I think it's only oven shtuff!

I think it is a noble cuisine you are making, but since it is so time and energy-intensive you should save it for special occasions.

Well, it's all over bar the shootin', auntblabby. I survived the deep fryer!
Now it's all cooked, I'm not hungry. Dang! That always happens to me!

It tastes like ouzo. Aniseed. Horrible but it'll get you where you wanna go
