It's 1:20am and I want to sleep but my mind's racing at over 100 miles an hour :(

True. I live in Australia (West) and I have quite a few people around me who've had skin cancer. It's frightening that skin cancer is so common here. Even in summer I wear a hoodie to protect myself from the sun when I have to go out during the day although it's very hot. Around this time of the year, the dangerous hours here are between 8am and 4pm. I hear that UV in Vic and Tas is worse than here.

I've slept for 6 hours last night. That's a major improvement over 3 hours. :)

It was a Vitamin D test as I was a bit low.

Supplements and vitamin-rich foods aren't enough in this situation.

If you don't get enough sunlight, your health is going to suffer in the long run.

Where I live sunlight is dangerous as it has UV rays that cause melanoma or cancer so if we go out in it we have to put sunscreen on.

I'm not sure that you can manufacture much Vitamin D if you have sunscreen on. Fortunately, it doesn't take all that long an exposure, but it must be in the mid day.

Thirty minutes twice a week in the middle of the day should be enough.

If you wait until the sun is lower in the sky, it won't help much.

I don't think you can make much, if any, Vitamin D from sun exposure before 10 am or after 3 pm.

I live in Victoria I'm not sure if the UV rays are worse here than Western Australia but you still have to be careful,
They're even thinking about schoolchildren wearing sun glasses at school as part of their school uniform as well as hats when they're outside in the playground on hot days.

I remember the relatively early days of WP. I spent seven and a half years reading posts, on and off, before signing up as a member.
