Dear Kevinjh, Perhaps, if your message is heading to Uberwald, you might consider carrier bats?
I believe, however, that they only fly at night; would this be a problem?

However, with the Occupy protests, I think there may be fleeing Igors here and there due to the unrest, so maybe I can recruit one of them.

With all the sea birds (this far inland, no less), maybe I can also hire a pointless albatross.
