Who should I pick to be my first non-internet friend on FB? (as in, all the people currently on my FB are people that post or used to post here, or randoms I met on dating sites)

Might order a small bottle (well, mid-sized) of South Comfort.

Haven't tried it. It's not that expensive for a spirit (fairly weak for one, but that's ok. My tongue goes numb from drinking too much 40 percent+ stuff in one go. Sensitive tongue).

I seem to have a knack for eliciting emotional response out of people this morning

I like the look of that Chilean Mauser bolt gun in 7x57mm too (I like that cartridge; never owned one. Has good ballistics and is a potent round).

Perhaps a good thing I had control and didn't jump on that Winchester '92 in .32-20.

'Tis a beautiful sunset outside. :) A better end to the weekend for me than how it started. Shame the Kiwis couldn't win the netball final, but at least we've kept the Bledisloe Cup for another year. Oh well, All Blacks ... time for you to win the Rugby World Cup now.

Every now and then I go through phases of talking in "back slang".

Its a bit odd especially for my daughter.

But as I explained to her last night, the words in my head are in back slang and I have to put them in the right order before they are spoken.

She just gave me a look.

Well damn, it's illegal to distill your own spirit here. Since I'm a goody two shoes, I of course wouldn't do something illegal.

I guess it's the tax man that's to blame, as it appears to be quite safe to do (easy to filter the methanol).

The man is always putting the breaks on the fun.

I guess I could just play around with distilling water (that's legal, as is a 5 liter still).

It's quite a strange experience walking around your house in the middle of the night with night vision goggles on (with the lights off, of course).

Pitch black and you can see.

babybird is feeling more than a little bit peckish it this moment in time.

Tonight's meal will consist of roast gammon joint accompanied by baby steamed potatoes and vegetable melody.

This will be delicately caressed by Bisto's finest and topped off with finely chopped onions that have been marinated in malt vinegar.

Peas and Fleas....

Two very similar sounding words but I could never mistake a pea for a flea.

And also, I could never get confused between the number 8 and the number 9.

I mean they're two completely different numbers.

For a kick off one is odd and one is even.
