I have no idea what's going on, or what to do at this moment. These moments again...

It's almost 2:30AM, and I'm supposed to go somewhere 7 hours after this.

Advice to writers on this forum: ask yourself why you are writing. If you are writing for yourself, make sure that you give your stories [and yourself] the respect they deserve. I had to learn that the hard way.

I used to write a lot up until I got negative responses about my series.

We're all hopeless. Executive functioning is what I believe we all lack. I certainly know I do.
I don't even fully understand what executive functioning is but from what I've read about it, it's certainly something I've never grasped the concept.

Face blindness is also another gift afforded me from Autism. That one landed me in a heap of poo from my ex partner.

Come to think of it, perhaps being Autistic has had more downsides that the positives I get from it.
At 48, I'm still learning what is me and what is attributable to Aspergers. Good and bad!

They've searched and searched, but I suppose his body could have been dumped in a searched area after the fact.

From what I've read, it's not uncommon for searchers to miss a body even after several sweeps of an area, and hikers come upon the remains by chance (with foul play being mostly ruled out for why the remains are there).

I'd say it's equally as likely that his remains are nearby as he was kidnapped (and then, his remains could still be nearby from the kidnapping).

It's so easy to miss stuff in the woods/bush, and the longer it goes on, the more nature buries and/or decomposes the thing you're looking for. Kinda like all of the arrows I've lost around here; they're under inches of leaf litter and dirt. Scent and all that, yeah, but rain and whatnot masks such, and bush critters will clear out a cadaver/carcass within weeks here, and the smell is pretty much gone then.

Pinned that bastard to the backstop (and it only took 4 shots! :P I suck). Hits a heap harder than the .22LR.

I don't know why but your target backing somehow reminds me of Jason Voorhees hockey mask:

I don't have a specific one for archery. If I did such more, I'd have one of those soft blocks that catch them gently. I ended up bending the old aluminum shaft I used to kill that can on said backstop, which is a computer box on its side (kinda surprised the arrow made it through most of the box; I was expecting it to bounce off).

It's in front of a 1/2" steel plate, backed up by bricks, and all of that is in front of a 20 foot high dam wall. I use it for firearms. I just put a target stand in front of the box/steel plate if I'm shooting groups. I only shoot .22s nowadays, though. I don't want to bother the neighbors with noise (I can shoot any non-restricted long arm here, but I try to be friendly and not bother them).

Got a cheap scope for muh newest rifle (.308). 3-9x40 power.

Now, I just need a lift up north to go deer hunting (after some sighting in and shooting practice).

Midnight walk in the rain, walked through campus where all the brick and stone was glistening in the lamp light. It was nice.
