I confess, I'm off to play AD&D (3.5 ed.) now (in a 3+ year long weekly campaign). :D :D 8) :P

I confess, I grew up during the evolution of guerrilla skating; I remember the days when nobody knew who Tony Hawk was. My first real deck was a Powell & Peralta Lance Mountain with Independent trucks and Rat Bonez wheels (w/ German bearings); I think I was about 13 when I got it. I loved that deck, but it was very primitive compared to what decks eventually evolved to. It's nose was completely flat, the up-curve on the tail was relatively tame, and it had no concave at all. I remember buying the grip paper separately, and cutting it into a very fancy pattern which both showed off the deck's top graphics, and incorporated some of my own artistic touches (ruining a pair of scissors in the process). The deck has intricate and beautiful graphics which, of course, were destroyed almost as soon as I started using it.

I confess that Icarus' post brought back many memories. I grew up a skate rat in the '80s. Tony Hawk, Powell & Peralta, etc., yeah...we knew them, but mainstream society didn't. My board is a Powell & Peralta Sword & Skull with Blue Sword. I have Powell & Peralta Bones Threes 85A 50/50 Black & Blue wheels with Tracker 6-Track Ultra-Light Trucks. I have ribs, a nose guard, tail guard, and rear truck guard, so my board held up pretty good. Note, that was not in past tense. I still have it and occasionally go out and shred a bit. Unfortunately, roads these days suck and are not smooth in most neighborhoods.

Just a few weeks ago I found an old school Tony Hawk and Caballero Decks for sale. They are bringing back some of the classic designs and deck shapes.

If we ever meet up, we'll have to go shredding somewhere. This was an art project I had to do in grade school.

I used to draw cartoons of skate rat/punk dudes. I also used to design boards. If I ever find any of those drawings, I'll post them.

I confess that my old avatar was kinda sadistic and dark, which I don't think fits me all that well. Plus it creeped people out.

I confess that I ran a stop sign today! 8O Luckily it was on rural road.

I confess that I'm glad that you're all right, and that I love your new avatar. It kind of matches my theme!

I'm a bit slow, but yesterday I realized that "stimming" does indeed draw attention from...everyone. I like opening and closing things repetitively; I do it with a folding knife when I’m by myself, but when I’m out and about I use my lighter (I like looking at the flame, it soothes my mind). Naturally, it makes a nice clicking noise when I open, close and open it, ad infinitum; everyone stares as I decided to look people in the eyes for a day (big mall; big day).

I like it better when I don't look at people.

I confess I don't think I have ever ran a stop sign before today. I was quite surprised, so was my coworker in the passenger seat.
I confess that my new avatar appealed to me a lot for some reason, maybe there is a meaning to it that I can't explain in words yet?

I confess I really like your theme, it fits you well.

Running a stop sing is bad; I ran a full on Red Light. It didn't just turn red either, and at a very busy intersection... I could have died if a car was going across.

Story is, I was driving and late at night I was looking down the road... but mentally associating the light ahead which was green... with the light at the closest intersection. I also was kind of singing a song out loud, and sort of in my own head... (I often do such things...rarely when I'm driving though...)

I was so ashamed... I could have killed someone else too...

I confess that ... I think too darn much and analyze everything too much and I can't stop myself from it.

I have the same problem, though I kind of enjoy it.

I just wish I could be more productive while still having that need to think and analyze.

I confess that I'm looking forward to going to the Renaissance Festival this Sunday; despite the amount of people there, it's always fun.

I confess I'd like to visit the Tokyo Comic Market. Have any members here attended Comiket?

I confess, I'm jealous! I hope you have a most excellent time; there's nothing like wandering around with a turkey drumstick and (if you're me) a flagon of ale pretending it is 500 or so years ago, hopefully with a bunch of folks who are doing the same. Are you going to try to dress period (or at least, not obnoxiously non-period), if you are equipped to?

I confess that one of these days I'm going to put together my ultimate ren-fest outfit. I've been saying that for years, but I'll probably actually do it, some day.

Good fortune,

- Icarus the Ren Fest Geek

Thank you; I'm sure I'll enjoy it (I always have; I go every year). Ha, I'm not a turkey drumstick wandering person (more of an issue with being... picky with manners than anything else; I don't mind if anyone else does it, but it's not for me), and I'm underage in terms of alcohol. Still, it is fun to wander around; there are a lot of people who do such. It's very well done here; all of the shopkeepers, showsmen (and women), and various assorted people dress, talk, and act in accordance with the time period; besides that, they also have a variance of actors and actresses whose main job is to wander around doing exactly the same.

I usually do, yeah; it's been acquired over the years. Although I confess I'm considering wearing a different skirt this year, which, due to its color (dark red), might not be so common in the time period (I forget now what colors they had then. I could research it, but ah, I'm lazy). Every few years or so, I get my hair braided there; I think I will this year.

You should do it. I'm sure you'd do a good job with it.
