Hugs to Istomin for her dedication to ferrel kitties, her obsession with a person (similar to me and Emily), her academic success, her perseverance to learn tennis / badminton, and her general awesomeness. Not to mention living where I used to live (relatively close). I'll hug you but sorry, you won't find me playing tennis!

Vodun is another name for voodoo. It's actually considered the correct name of the religion practiced by the practitioners of "voodoo."

I know this because my wife is from Trinidad, and her son was into what is termed the "Orisha" or "Shango" religion whose origins, like vodun or voodoo, is from West Africa. Orisha, specifically, is from the Yoruba people of Nigeria.
