I finally finished the suspension work on my Oldsmobile today and took it off the jackstands!

I also got the parts I ordered for the Geo Metro (not related the Austin/MG/Rover Metro) and the truck today. So, tomorrow, the Geo goes back under the knife so that I can replace the transmission, drive axle, radiator and front brakes. If all goes to plan it will be back on the road in a few days and ready to save me money on gas once again!

refugee rights rally. i didnt get to march because i was on pack up duty but it was still good. the turn out was average. my comrade also ate some of the cake i made. hope she goes back for seconds because i cant eat it all. well i could but it wouldnt be good for me and it would make me feel better because nobody ever reacts well to my cooking. our post rally meeting went well too. we watched woomera 2002. so inspiring. made me want to attack a detention centre. how can people see refugees in cages and think anything bad about them? it was hard to watch in parts because they felt they had to tell us that they were human and show us their scars to prove it and it was horrible but then you saw them cutting razor wire with bolt cutters and jumping out and body surfing over the protesters bellow to escape and the protesters were attacking the cops trying to stop them. one of the people asked what had happened to the refugees upon escape and my comrade jumps up and says "well one of them is my brother in law now. he and my sister live in canada" and she told us their story because her sister harboured this man as a fugitive. it was so cool.

my last post was a joke. i was told i needed to say that. i did not really think my ladder was stolen.
i just thought it may not be where i thought it should be, and i discovered it was in the same place as i thought it should be after 230 calories of investigation.

bye. sleep will heal me.

i snatched success from the jaws of defeat.
the story is complicated (in my opinion) but i finally found out a fact that will benefit me in the future as well as provide a level of pleasure that i had not yet realized could be had.

anyway, i was eating my boiled eggs (soft boiled where the albumen is completely set, but the yolk is runny) with my toast strips.

after i finished, i went to prepare my chocolate milk which, today, was plain whole milk with chocolate topping mixed with it.
i usually pour the chocolate topping into a large plastic tumbler to a certain height which i measure by it's surface proximity to a rib ring on the cup, and then i slowly add dollops of milk and mix thoroughly, and then gradually blend in the rest of the milk until the cup is full.

this form of chocolate milk is not my preferred form (which is store bought) for the reason that i have always found the viscosity of the milk to be too thick (high) after being mixed with topping syrup, and also i found it to be slightly "sickly sweet".

today, i thought i was embarking upon a catastrophic situation when i started to pour the chocolate topping into the tumbler and i realized there was not enough topping and i had no other chocolate milk. i freaked because i MUST follow boiled eggs with chocolate milk and i could not be bothered driving down the road, and even if i could have been bothered, i need to drink the milk within a few minutes of completing the eggs.

so i put the plain milk back in the fridge, and i got a stool and sat down and i held the topping bottle upside down over the tumbler for about 5 minutes until the frequency of the droplets of topping dripping from it were less than 1 every 20 seconds.

i did not bother to swish plain milk around inside the topping bottle to collect every last bit because the temperature of that milk would rise rapidly, and i like my milk very cold.

so, to cut a long story short, i poured the plain milk in while stirring until the tumbler was full, and for the first time i realized i was putting far too much topping into the tumbler before. it was sweet to the correct degree, and it's viscosity was far lower and therefore more thirst slaking.

i very much like how it tasted and i am glad i did not have a meltdown.

I pulled the transmission and radiator out of my Geo today, as well as helping a fellow aspie/ADHD hybrid with their car (I call it the hell Sentra). Hopefully tomorrow will be the day I can get back behind the wheel of it and start driving it again. As it stands, my truck is costing me $300-400 a month more to drive and I can't afford it much longer.

i was very happy that i was not involved in a 3 car accident that i heard happened in melbourne today . thank goodness the accident was 800 km away from me, and that even if i had been involved in it, i would not have received serious injuries because the most serious injury reported about that accident was a broken leg.

a wonderful turn of events really.

i didnt think i would have anything good to say about wednesday but then i went for a walk and now i do. i was walking a couple of streets away from my house and came upon a building site. the building site was boring, i would not have concerned myself with it were it not for the large, red union flags draped over the fence and the signs saying "support the cfmeu, justice for unpaid workers". apparently the union is taking action over the fact that there is a contractor that has been denied pay by the boss. according to the traffic controller anyway. so cool. i took some dodgy pictures in the midnight darkness. but the picket line would be more effective with people on it. maybe in the morning? the cfmeu is one of my favourite unions.
