Taking a nap in the morning was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I need to get some energy going and start cleaning my house. :bounce: Maybe some jumping jacks will help.

I managed to fix a flickering ceiling light which was annoying my parents.
They then ordered a take-away curry, so I had some too.

saw my little sister. saw my little cousin. he's at that point where he is small enough for me to be able to lift, throw and swing him around by his arms and he enjoys it. ate good food.
and the teachers in lebanon went on strike, i think, yesterday(it is hard to tell seeing as i do not read arabic and time differences are weird). they threatened to escalate and strike indefinitely if the government doesnt approve a wage rise. meanwhile the teachers federation in NSW, australia has said it will be holding a community rally. on a sunday. after the changes have come in and after taking crap from the government for a looong time and doing little about it. i mean i will be there for it, only thing that might stop me is not being in the country, but seriously? but good on the teachers in lebanon.

I have always wanted to go to Lebanon. So much history. Good luck to the teachers!

I know it isn't today, but tommorow I am giving a lecture on Asperger's at my university. Today I am excited about what I am going to talk about.

today i went to the student disabilities and equity unit at uni to get adjustments made with study based on the fact that i am autistic. to register with them i just have to send them my diagnosis papers and to remedy the fact i have nothing current i have to see a GP which she made an appointment for. apparently there are GPs on campus which solves my GP problem- i ditched my last because im not sure about her attitude towards queers and she is used to seeing my mother with me so confidentiality is zero because to her i am still my mothers kid. she also asked me if i had been assessed for anything other than autism, like ADHD because thats what my symptoms also point towards. she said if i wanted to and if my GP thought so too i could check out psychological services and get a Dx(will consider) or refute my current ASD Dx(dont wanna do that) i could. she said she didnt think they would take money from a student. she added up my marks to see what i needed to get to pass and that made me feel better. t'was good. im really relieved. my adjustments don't come into effect till next semester. she also freaked out when she heard about my medicare situation.
while i was in the waiting line this odd bloke next to me was talking to himself and he had a dog in his bag which he got me to mind while he went tp talk to the receptionist because he was hiding the dog from them. i liked him. he was weird and his puppy was energetic. both were cute.
went to queer collective and talked in a good way to people. i like it when i have these moments when i am in concordance with people in ways i do not object to. we talked nerdy things and political things. i had dinner with them. one of them asked if i could go to les mis with them in december and i said i dont know because i mightnt be here which kinda made me sad. it looks really mad.
got a phone call from somebody i am friendly with.

Exercising and finally having the courage to ask for help. It is not easy to ask for help and I am the one who usually helps others and I am the oldest of two children, etc, etc.

After 8 months since I last ran it, my Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme started today. I had to replace the fuel tank due to rust issues and the battery, as well as the worn out rear suspension. The only bad thing is that ALL of the under hood fuel lines leaked a little when it was running, squirting gas on the exhaust- and I didn't notice it until after I shut off the engine! 8O I'll need to fabricate new ones before I can drive it later this week, but so far, so good. Even better, I checked comparables on some web sites and when I go to sell it later this year, it should go for $5,000-8,000!

i went to the library and scanned my diagnosis files into the computer and sent them to the equity and disability unit lady at uni. she said she hopes my study is going well and i did not respond because i was ashamed to say it is not. she said they need updating from a psychologist after the gp which is a change from just the gp. i suspect she thinks i do not have AS but i do so i will not be getting that changed but i should check out the ADHD thing if i have the money. and i got a library computer card which lets me access email and things for $1 which covers forever as far as a i know. the man there was nice and lent me his usb so i could do stuff.
comrade gave me meds for my sore thoat.
we discussed the reactionary politics of take back the night in branch today. i thought the politics were bad but they are worse than i knew. not going to it.
and neil gaiman and tom robinson in the same room. geek-gasm.
