Such words sound most familiar, for they remind me of kazanscube. :P :P

@auntblabby For some reason I always thought you live somewhere remote, with few people around... true or false? :)

true :alien: I live in the wilds of western-central Washington state, about 2 hours away from the pacific coast as the diesel rumbles... out in the middle of a bunch of woods and lakes. if you don't mind, Earthling, where do YOU live? :)

It's a suburb-like place, as of recent there are many new houses being built around here.
I live in a house with a few apartments.
From 3 sides of the house there are adjacent neighbors. They are mostly quiet, except for one of them, who owns a gardening company and the trucks are loud at 6am in the morning.
On the 4th side of the house there's a forest with routes for wanderers. It's not that big of a forest, but a nice place.
There is some infrastructure where I live. There is a pizza/takeaway, bakery, gas station, hair dresser, kiosk... stuff like that. But it's not a real city. Travel downtown takes about 30 minutes.

Yeah it's a decent place.
But what I really don't like about it is that it takes so long to get downtown or to education/school/sports clubs.
It took me like 40 minutes sometimes to get to school, one direction.
To uni like 45 minutes. Didn't like that at all.

I hate it when Microsoft releases an update which does not properly install or not install at all.

Yes, it has.. In my case I was able to download an update but, the update failed to install and it's an important one. I have looked into such but, have found no clue as to whether Microsoft when provide a hotfix or if there is some other means to fix this absurdity..

This has happened on my dad's computer (Win7) so often, I've lost count of it.

To be precise, I checked the internet as to how to remedy the problem, in that there is everything from flushing the windowsupdate cache which you could do on windows10 and I tried that. Yet, that did not work even worse is to turn off my 3rd party anti virus/firewall and turn on windows firewalll and try the windows update feature than turn off windows firewall and turn on your 3rd party security back on which is too risky..
I don't know

I think what eventually helped my dad was open a certain port on the router for Windows Update. :?
I don't believe that's what actually helped, but apperently, yes, it helped.

It's 40 degrees F/5ish degrees C where I am. I'm okay with this.
