I wouldnt classify this as bad, but I just cant help but question the judgement of anyone over the age of 18, even 16 who found it entertaining.

My sister couldn't understand why I was so obsessed with it. I told her I guess you just have to be really immature to appreciate it. I'm not going to be ashamed of it because it cured me of my NWO obsession and I'm much happier now.... Very few things make me happy, so I'll take it...

First post in ages on this site.

I will join this group. Twilight gives real vampires a bad name. No real story and really poor characters.

I heard that at the premire of New Moon a man asked a woman if he could bite her. She didn't respond.
then when the credits rolled at the end, he lunged towards her and bit her neck.

weird.

I like Twilight now :D Btw, is Emmett a rare name? I mean - the only time I encountered it before it was in BTTF - as of Emmett Brown.

Twilight was annoying and overrated like Avatar which apparently took some story elements from it (an alien has an affair with a human, a vampire has an affair with a human but the affair has a bunch of complications that turn a normally 30 minute love story into a 2 hour strung out snorefest) they are both boring as a result.
It also ruined vampires.

I personally don't hate Twilight, I just don't really get it. Love stories tend not to be my forte, and I'm of the general opinion that a lot of time could be saved if that sort of movie like that would go like this: you sit down with popcorn and drink, movie starts, the two love-birds meet, get the show on the road right away and kiss instead of having to wait an hour or more for 'em to get over their emotional angst, then we see all the good stuff about being in love, then the curtains close before the relationship gets rocky and the movie's over ten minutes later. Job done, time saved, the audience still feels good, and never once do you have to growl at the screen, "Aw, kiss her, you @$%*! fool! You know you love her, and she knows she loves you back!"

Of Twilight, my real question is why'd they have to go and ruin a perfectly good vampire vs werewolf premise with all the hearthrob/sappy schmoz? Let's have some some fang on fang bloody action fer Chrissakes! Doesn't even have to be all that bloody either, or even as hardcore as Underworld, but a few hisses and fang-baring and some howls from the weres would be good enough.

Twilight, like Hunger Games or Star Wars Episode One,, did nothing for me. I guess I'm too old.

Maybe so, although Star Wars Episode I is a pretty decent movie, although I prefer the original trilogy of Star Wars to the newer "prequels". Don't get me wrong, they're good movies, especially if it's raining and you've some popcorn and spare time on you, and are worth the money if you happen to find them cheap or in a reasonably priced bundle package, I just like the originals better.

I never saw them & have no desire to because I'm not into werewolves, vampires or teen romance dramas. I cant say I hate them sense I never seen them & because I don't care if others like it or not; I'm just disinterested.

Everyone should just watch 'The Hunger' instead.

THAT is how a contemporary vampire film is done.

And what about the names Carlisle and Esme? I never heard of those. I thought that Esme was short for Esmeralda (like in a South American soap opera) or something.
