I personally don't hate Twilight, I just don't really get it. Love stories tend not to be my forte, and I'm of the general opinion that a lot of time could be saved if that sort of movie like that would go like this: you sit down with popcorn and drink, movie starts, the two love-birds meet, get the show on the road right away and kiss instead of having to wait an hour or more for 'em to get over their emotional angst, then we see all the good stuff about being in love, then the curtains close before the relationship gets rocky and the movie's over ten minutes later. Job done, time saved, the audience still feels good, and never once do you have to growl at the screen, "Aw, kiss her, you @$%*! fool! You know you love her, and she knows she loves you back!"
Of Twilight, my real question is why'd they have to go and ruin a perfectly good vampire vs werewolf premise with all the hearthrob/sappy schmoz? Let's have some some fang on fang bloody action fer Chrissakes! Doesn't even have to be all that bloody either, or even as hardcore as Underworld, but a few hisses and fang-baring and some howls from the weres would be good enough.
