This will be true of any internet forum, unfortunately. Just have to wade through a lot of crap to pick out the gems. :(
Sometimes there's just so much crap, however, that I feel a need to take a break from WP for a few months at a time. Nothing wrong with that either.

She downtalked a guy that has was forced to give away his child to some strangers, and he thought about killing himself, no wonder why people start to dislike her.

I know the thread you are referring to. But the point remains that there's still a lot of crap on the internet, WP included. We can all do ourselves a favor by not resorting to petty name-calling and trolling behaviors.

There just aren't enough people who are positive and supportive in this world, and we need more of them. I can't stress that enough. Sure I don't always agree with what people say here, but that doesn't mean that I cannot learn and change my mind. We can only learn from people who aren't like us, who think differently. So learn to discuss more respectfully and supportively, and you may learn something.

Well stated Stinkypuppy :thumright:

This entire matter ultimately breaks down to whether or not we can acknowledge and accept our mutual vulnerabilities and look past all of society's petty rivalries -- political, economic and religious issues -- toward trying to be helpful to one another. After 59 years of never fitting in anywhere else, I was shocked by how quickly and warmly I was welcomed here ... and I have yet to be put off by the occasional "personality" I might encounter here. In the final analysis, genuine fellowship among people who at least try to care about each other always wins out!

bdhkhsfgk I won't get into it with you, because I don't think your on the spectrum, you are more of a narcissistic socialpath, that uses the aspie label to get away with bad behavior

I value every post, I just read six pages of this one. If there is an in group, I think it is the more recent people who put out the greatest insight.

I was an alien when I came, learned a lot from the active membership when it was 7,000, some was dead on, down to my slip on shoes, and some showed some wrong views I had picked up through life.

The same has continued, but with a changing active membership, and I am still learning.

Wrong Planet is about the magic of self discovery, it continues with a new cast, and is just as valid.

I do discover myself in others, something that never really worked in the real world, so I value it all.

it does not matter whether any mind "wants" me to be where i am. i am where i am and that is presently writing a post. i am where i am because i drained into my natural causeways and i take the path of least resistance. no other mind has any influence on where i end up.

so i am talking here for a couple of years (at night), and i will inevitably lose interest entirely and disappear eventually. it is no ones mind or "want" that made me come here. and it will be no one's mind or "want" that would prevent me from moving on when i am done.

Is this an ironic post? Very funny if it is.

Ah, the seeming irregularities of the fractal mind, eh?!

I can say that other people's meanings give little reason for me to leave.
